melo is top 5 talent. offensively he is top 3.
he's too big for you on the block if you put up a little guy. and if you put a big man on him he's too fast for him too. melo is literally unstoppable 1 on 1 period.
now that that's out of the way

scoring has nothing to do with it, no i'm not nuts. amare and melo will score 60+ a night so they don't need that. they can get carried by those two. you need people who can do other things such as play defense cause melo and amare DONT you need a 3 point shooter and you need a scrapper. you can't give all of those up.
next year depending on the off season you guys might be a force.
its a gamble, i'd pull something similar to get melo but damn the cupboard is bare

maybe if you get the pg, i don't see howard coming to ny its either orlando or l.a. for him. but i can see a pg coming to play in dantoni's offense.
