Besides the explanation I gave you, an easy way for you to double check is to look at his yearly stats. Go to basketball-reference and look at his yearly stats. You will see steady increases annually in practically every category. It is not even debateable. The stats are the proof. However, any basic examination of his game makes it very obvious. It is not even subtle. You can even see a better stroke from last year to this year with his jumper. Obvious that he continues to work on his game during the off-season.
He shoots better from the line, is a respectable 3 point shooter, and his mid-range game has improved. Again, look at the stats from year to yaer to see the obvious progression since you havent picked up while watching the actual games.
He is a good on the ball defender and one of the most feared off the ball defenders in the game right now.
I am not going to judge his entire year off of a streaky shooting Melo at the end of the one game. Melo is a tough guard for anyone... but when he is hot, no one is gaurding him, period. I dont give a damn how good you are on the defensive end.
As stated, this is where he needs to improve the most. A back to the basket game in the post would make him completely unstoppable.
Lebron doesnt need to dominate the ball to score. Wade needs to dominate the ball to score. They are too completely different types of scorers. Lebron has to run the point on his team so he doesnt dominate the ball anymore than Magic Johnson dominated the ball. Distributors tend to have the ball in their hands more than others.
Kobe dominates the ball, AI dominated the ball.... Lebron is not a black-hole... he creates for other players and also can create for himself. He also doesnt play with other players who create a lot of shots for their teammates.
Look at the fucking stats...take your ass on a stat tracking page for his career and look at the damn stats... scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, 3 point shooting, rebounding, etc.
He is doing them all better damn near each year.

It is obvious you cant pick it up by watching the game so you need to look at the stats. About the dumbest thing anything anyone can say about Lebron is that he hasnt improved as a player....borderline stupidity.

The only thing Ewing did better than Shaq was hit the mid-range fadeaway. That is. Shaq was a better scorer, rebounder, defender, passer, etc. Shit is not even close.
The Dream and Kareem are a completely different story. Ewing is a step below those players on the totem-pole.

Oh and on another not, Melo is a pure scorer and yes he is a better scorer than Bron. No he doesn't outscore Lebron but that is because he does not have to. When has Bron EVER had to share the scoring load? He has no choice but to put up 30+ a game every season or else the Cavs are lottery picking every year. Melo hasn't really had that burden and when he did he has more than proved that he is capable of doing so. That's all I have to say about that.

That is going to be the key for him over the next 2-3 years. It is a wall that he needs to clear. It will make him acomplete offensive player that can hurt you from every position on the floor and will also make him an even more deadly distributor as teams would often need to collapse on him in the point...I couldnt imagine that dude running in offense similar to the triple-post with the way he looks to distribute

If Melo is so much better, why did LeBron play him one on one through out the game, and LeBron doubled and sometimes tripled teamed? Plus James had more points, more assist and more rebounds and if it weren't for all the missed slam dunks, missed free-throws, plus a great miracle shot, as well as James slipping on the last play, the Cavs would have won. Come on son, don't play dumb and act like yall didn't see all of that.

Right, ninjas see what they wanna see though. Nobody in this post said Melo was more important, better all around or more atheltically gifted. People said he was a better scorer and cheerleaders lost they damned minds.
Melo may be a better one on one scorer, but his game can be hampered if you double team him, and if he was on a lesser team where the defense is allowed to collapse on him, and even triple team him, his scoring would suffer greatly. James on the other hand will score no matter what type of defensive scheme you run at him. If I was a team playing the nuggets I would rather Melo score 50 points, keeping the likes of Martin and Billups in check, this is the reason why I would never double up on him. Now playing against the Cavs you have to give some help while trying to guard James if not he is going to kill your team.

They lost because they missed so many free throws, the Cavs normally shoot at .727% and in that game they shot a measly 57.5% if they were to shoot close to their normal, they would have won the game by at least 7 points. Not to mention all the blown dunks and layups. Look it was a good shot by Melo, but James scored more points, had more rebounds, more assists and if it were not for the Cavs beating themselves, they would have won the game also.
But hey if you really think Melo cause them to miss those open dunks and free throws, then that speaks volumes of where your head is at.

All I said is that, when you play the Cavs the first thing teams do is draw up strategies to double team and help out against LeBron, with Melo, some teams would rather him score but keep a lid on the other players. The main reason why they lost to the Nuggets is because they allow Kenyon Martin to 18 points, with out doubling up on Melo, that was the back breaker.
I never said Melo was not a good player, but he does not command the same attention as a Kobe or a LeBron. But while matched up one on one, he is as good as a scorer in the NBA, especially when he is hot.

You mean like all the big free throws he made last year in the playoffs? Come on son, LeBron has done way more in the playoffs than Melo ever has done. I cant even remember him winning any games with a game winning shot, Billups is the man for that. No one has been more clutch in the last min in the playoffs than James.

Better offensive player is a vague term. Melo is better at scoring. Thats it. He damn sure isnt better at offensive rebounder or passer. Even if you are only playing one side of the ball a coach still will take Lebron because he can RUN the team. Melo cant run the team.

Bron for his career averages 7 boards, Melo 6...big fucking difference. Offensively, Melo has more range than LeBron. Skill for skill, Melo is better. He has go-to moves, better jumper, dribble drive game, post game, mid-range game. FT% CA-80%, LBJ-74%; 3PT% CA-30%, LBJ-32%. Three game is about the same, Melo better at the line, & skill wise more adept offensively than Bron. LeBron is a anomaly. Hard to compare him to cats because his game isn't like anyone else...maybe magic, but Erv wasn't nowhere near as athletic as LeBron. When he's hot, he is as good as anybody, but when he is off, dude is invisible!
