One way for the American people to demand accountability from their leaders and a return to respectability is to impeach the Bush Administration. However, the complicity of both major U.S. parties in this intensifying debacle is clear now that the Democrats have taken impeachment "off the table." And if the Democratic Congress, that owes its majority status to antiwar voters, votes to fund the war, then our mission will become very clear.
We will have to change the structure of U.S. politics because changing the people, clearly, isn't enough.

She proved once to go over board with that security officer because she didn't feel like a celebrity or got star treatment. Now I look at this and seems like she is trying to be a part of the popular crowd again. A person character says a lot. Her hairstyles she had in office, especially after the security guard incident, said a lot. She was trying to be popular and stand out from the group. I think she is looking for a lot of attention these days. I could be wrong though, but her history hasn't proven me wrong so far.
Not true, impeachment is they way of prosecuting a crime that a congressionally confirmed officer did in his/her job. That's it."Impeachment is the Constitutional way of saying ‘No, we do not condone what has been done in our name, and we are not complicit.'"

I am sick of this hypocritical bullshit that people like her are doing. Most of the congress and the senate voted to allow the president to go into Iraq. This was over the objections of many in thier constituency. Then when shit hits the fan (like many of us feared), then they bark "we didn't have enough time or information", but that doesn't make a good sound bite. So they came up with "Bush led, people died !". However, only congress can declare war. I repeat, ONLY CONGRESS CAN DECLARE WAR !!!. If they felt that they did not have the time to review the facts, or were skeptdical, they should have voted against it. But why didn't they ? Good question. If they had voted against it, they were worried that they would not be re-elected. Valid fear, but thier job is to be a patriot, not a career congress member. But, they just laid everything at the feet of the president, like he did all of it himself. He should be accountable too, but the powers had to agree to take this misbegotten action, and they should ALL be held accountable.
And as for most of the world, the government should get out of minding other peoples business. But be prepared for the criticism "America should do more, because they are rich !!!"

Just a lot of white people sitting around using their 3 day work week to discuss this war like THEY DIDN'T VOTE TO START IT. They did vote to declare war and Bitch Clinton even said she DID NOT listen to the president but did her OWN RESEARCH to make her decision to vote YES for this war. Now BITCH CLINTON is talking she voted to give authority, which is a blantant lie.
The new speaker promised the congress would be working a 5 day work week but so far, it's still 3 days max.
Anyway, that's another story for another thread.

I live in Atlanta too and I saw her debate and have it recorded. She clearly won her debate and didn't come off as a nut to me. Her opponent's qualifications and backers were pretty shady too.bromack1 said:We can start with the security guard incident... but that would be too easy....
I live here in the ATL area and like I said... she is a certified nut.
Every problem she has is the whiteman's or someone else's fault.
Saw her debate last year for re-election to congress... trust me...she's not playing with a full deck...
Still no list of "nutty antics"Chase Bannon said:Because of the way she is going about this. It's one thing to start a movement with the people in your country, but when you go about it the way she is, you have to question her antics.
Security constantly bothered her for ID while allowing white male and female congressmen and congresswomen through without anything. I saw proof in a documentary about the black vote made a year prior to the security guard incident where she and the documentary crew were walking along when a guard came to her and tried to stop her from entering the grounds and thats not even the building. If she assaulted an officer on camera she'd have been prosecuted. Its not like she had friends in high places or any friends on the hill at all right? She proved once to go over board with that security officer because she didn't feel like a celebrity or got star treatment.
??? Did I miss sequins and fluorescent colors or something? Now I look at this and seems like she is trying to be a part of the popular crowd again. A person character says a lot. i agree, but none of this leads me to the conclusion that she's a nut. all politicians are attention whores, McKinney included. i believe it's kind of inherent in the type of people that are drawn to those positions.Chase Bannon said:Because of the way she is going about this.
