Those are two different sports and two different types of athletes that may share SOME similar things but not enough to make a comparison.
 
Mayweather is making $350 million for the fight (according to him). I would actually LOSE repose to for him if he turned it down. Besides Ali fought a bunch of jokers for $$. Why can't Floyd.

He still gets paid. But let's be honest. There is almost 0 chance that McGregor wins. He is fighting the all time best defensive boxer ever in his own sport. I could say if they allowed elbows.

IF they were match up a boxer with another kind of fighter the CLOSEST imo would probably be muay thai kickboxer because at least they concentrate more on pure striking than an MMA fighter.. where the majority of the fight is grappling/wrestling.
