The last I checked, C. Powell has been absent at every black affair in the last 20 years.

Why would blacks support a candidate because Powell is on the ticket? McCain will get more support if he picked Keith Olberman.

This wouldn't do anything positive for McCain.It will insure that a black man will be the president of the US, because if McCain serves his 1 term then Powell will be the head of the Republican party. Many blacks won't vote for Hillary because she will be blamed for causing Obama to lose in 08. We will then have another black man of the route to the white house in 2012. Biden is one of the POOREST MEMBERS of the "Millionaire Boys' Club" aka the US Senate

Biden resonates with working class white Catholics--he is from a working class background-no Ivy League degree (unlike Obama)

Biden has "folks back home" appeal--he commutes from Washington DC to Delaware daily

Biden receives far less money from PACs than other Senators--he is far from a Washington Insider in that respect.
