Mayweather questions Pacquiao's commitment

I didn't see the fight, but I heard the pacquiao was winning the fight but just got caught by a very good punch that he obviously didn't see...

Anyone can get caught and most of the greats have been caught...

Am I wrong??

My dude, Pac man got laid OUT. It wasn't a "flash" knock down. His ass was straight up sleepin'. Typically, fighters don't back bounce from that type of shit. I don't know if their chin gets weaker or they're gun shy. Probably a combination of the two. Pac man needs to consider retiring. He's got plenty of money and his health. He has definitely past his prime. No disrespect. He is one of the greatest of his era. He's done though.

He'd have to watch the video first , 'cos he won't remember shit about that fight......a whole segment of his life was erased by that punch....

1st off who has Canelo beaten to even deserve a Money shot.

But, if it does happen, and there is a small chance, a true boxer will make Canelo look silly. Even Oscar says its way to soon for Canelo. Sometimes I wonder if niggas really know what they watching.

Mayweather will move left to right and take pot shots at that fool ala Diego Carrales. May even get the KO.

Alvarez has the goods. I'm convinced of his skills. What I'm not convinced of is his chin. Miguel Cotto's brother was a punch or two from putting the stomp johnson* on him. I'd love to see him against bombers like Angulo or Kirkland or real slicksters like Lara or Martiroysan before a fight with Mayweather or Cotto.

* = someday I'll tell that story on here

Most time, it's not neurological damage, but their aura of invincibility is gone. Their future opponents realize that they are human too.

Floyd's nickname is "Money" & he makes fights based on that.
The biggest payday for him outside of Manny is Canelo. Look for those two to fight May 2013. It's that simple. The notion that he'd duck a $80 million dollar payday with Canelo is absurd.

This would be great to see but it probably won't happen till Canelo loses to someone; I respect Floyd's knuckle game, but even more than that, his business game. He has the WBA light middleweight belt right now, his mandatory challenger is gonna be Guerrero, who is a sloppy fighter but he dusted off Berto bad. Floyd will give that belt back and not fight him. What would be the shit is if Alverez and Trout fight and winner fights Floyd to unify that division; all the greats have tried to unify their division, Floyd hasn't. He looks for the money at some point you have to look at you legacy. You cant be a G.O.A.T. Giving the fans one fight that should've happened 3 years ago and an ass whooping on your girlfriend.

Losing would knock him out of the "Mayweather Sweepstakes". Floyd fights guys coming off wins, not losses. That would be Mr Pacquiao you're thinking of.

Guerrero and Berto fought at welterweight so that win shouldn't make him a mandatory for Mayweather's jr middleweight title (but the same could be said of Pacquiao and his jr middleweight title).
Unifying titles meant something when there was only one, two or three titles but today there are a half dozen titleholders walking around calling themselves "champion" when they haven' beaten anybody. The titles don't mean anything anymore but the wins and the money will always count.
And a guy who stamped his HoF card years ago doesn't have much to worry about in the legacy dept. Big talk aside, he's knows he would never be THE greatest but he knows he's done enough to be the greatest of his era.

That's not "luck" if the punch landed exactly where he was aiming it. That's like saying Lebron is "lucky" when he makes his shots, because he also missed the same shots at other times. Marquez planned that punch based on studying Pac's style. He even dropped his sparring partner with the exact punch in the exact situation as he did in the fight. You can't say that a punch that dropped Pac twice in the same fight was any form of "luck" the second time it landed. And Pac was only ahead by one point in that fight when he got put to sleep. It's not like Pac was "winning" by a wide margin and "got caught" on a fluke. It's also not like Marquez didn't out box Pac in their last fight, too.

00:36

I see what he did there:D

Yes i meant to say welterweight; he will not fight Guerro tho and will be stripped of that title even though it would be an easy win for him. At Jr middle he could fight to unify Canelo's, Trout's and his belt. That would be huge.
i know there is too many belts but only 4 of them mean anything and only three can be unified.

He may already be in HOF but he could shut all the talk down by standing for something and not being so precise with chossing his fights. You cant tell me he fought Marquez for money; he did it to prove a point to Paq.

Forget Trout, he needs another significant win. The money fight is Alvarez on Cinco de Mayo weekend.

From all the many, many, many Mayweather based discussions I've had, seen, and heard, there's nothing he can do to shut down all of his detractors. He's polarizing like that and for some reason some people are emotionally connected to hating him.

I'm with you on the JMM fight. It looked like he was setting up a Pacquiao fight with that, it just didn't happen.

Floyd dont need to fight Trout; he(Trout) will most likely lose to Alverez. That cat hits like a truck.

This is the whole Paq vs Marquez IV fight. Damn Floyd throws that punch better than anyone in the game.
