That's what non-fans don't get, it can be both real AND scripted. Most likely he was supposed to stiff The Show in the ring. It happens all the time in wrestling when guys throw legit shots (see Vader/Cactus Jack in WCW in 93).

So far they're hyping it like PBF will face Big Show in a one on one but that's very unlikely, probably depending on Rey Mysterio Jr.'s injury and how fast it heals.
