Matt Lauer You're....FIRED!!!

Honestly I don’t care since most of the targets are white men. There is a generic problem in them and we shouldn’t let them off the hook.

U will give a damn when its a Breh yall go fan boy for. This is sad i really enjoyed him on the show.

I kept telling everyone that this shit was at a fever pitch. An accusation can get you fired. Happens at the place one of businesses is located all the time.

Lesbian feminists are masturbating in unison this morning to the news.

Remember, women get to call sexual harassment even if the actions are mutual.

Oprah's homie Gail cosigned the accuser and so did Megan Kelly and Hoda Copie (spelling)

I don't fucking get it. These guys make a ton of money working insane hours that keep them away from their wives and kids. They're at the office so much they don't have time to bang their old ladies, so they're hitting on broads at work. Well they should wonder, who's serving their old lady while they're so busy? What good is all that career dedication bs if your life is upside down. Take your fucking millions and kick back, open a restaurant near your home, go on school field trips with your kids and fuck the shit out of your wife whenever you want, like normal people do.

Fucking rich people, SMDH!

NBC fires Matt Lauer after complaint about 'inappropriate sexual behavior'
by Brian Stelter @brianstelterNovember 29, 2017: 8:56 AM ET
The pursuit of truth despite attacks on journalism
memo to staff that the complaint was filed on Monday night. Lack said it was the first complaint lodged against Lauer in his career at the network. But he also said "we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."

Indeed, Lack and other NBC News executives have known for weeks that damaging stories could be coming out soon.

Reporters for The New York Times have been investigating Lauer for weeks, according to sources who had been contacted by the Times.

And Variety's New York bureau chief Ramin Setoodeh said on Twitter that he and his colleagues have been doing reporting "about serious sexual harassment allegations against Lauer" for two months.

"There were multiple victims," Setoodeh tweeted.

Lauer was not immediately reachable for comment by CNN. An NBC News spokeswoman declined to comment beyond the information in Lack's memo.

Lauer was informed of the network's decision late Tuesday night, before he went to bed, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

And Guthrie, his co-host for the past five years, was told overnight.

"We were both woken up with the news kind of predawn," Guthrie's co-host Hoda Kotb said."And we're trying to process it and make sense of it. And it will take some time for that."

Lauer is the latest high-profile man in media to be brought down by allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior. Just last week, CBS News fired one of its own morning anchors, Charlie Rose, after a report in The Washington Post chronicled years of alleged sexual misconduct on his part.

The torrent began when The New York Times and The New Yorker reported on allegations against the Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

Since then, actors Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K. have been suspended or removed from projects after allegations against them became public. And other prominent journalists, including Mark Halperin of NBC and Michael Oreskes of NPR, have been fired or suspended from their jobs.

The firing of Lauer removes one of the most recognizable personalities on television at a time when morning news programs are increasingly important to network news divisions.

"This is a sad morning at 'Today' and NBC News," Guthrie said at the top of the 7 a.m. hour. "As I'm sure you can understand, we are devastated. I'm heartbroken for Matt."

Guthrie also said she was heartbroken for the woman who accused Lauer of misconduct, noting "it's long overdue" that women feel comfortable coming forward against abusive men.

Hoda Kotb, on the set with Guthrie, said she has known Lauer for years and "loved him as a friend and a colleague."

"It's hard to reconcile the man who walks in every day" with the person who was identified in the complaint, she said.

Lauer, 59, was named a co-anchor of "Today" in January 1997 after three years as the newsreader.

He co-anchored NBC's coverage of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and other historic news events.

His contract calls for him to be paid tens of millions a year. It reportedly ran through 2018.

The immediate responses from Hollywood and Republican politicians have been telling

"Matt Lauer has been terminated from NBC News," NBC said in a statement. "On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment."

In a memo to NBC employees, NBC News chairman Andy Lack wrote of the alleged sexual misconduct, "It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company's standards. As a result, we've decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he's been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."

On Wednesday morning, Hoda Kotb joined Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie instead of Lauer; Guthrie then told viewers it was "a sad morning at Today and NBC News" and read Lack's email on air.

to CNN, both New York Times and Variety were in the midst of writing an article detailing allegations of sexual misconduct against Lauer. While NBC's memo said that the "inappropriate sexual behavior" claim against Lauer was the "first complaint" against the host, Variety's Ramin Setoodeh said their story detailed "multiple victims." Setoodeh added that NBC was aware that the "bombshell story" was imminent.

Dear Colleagues,

On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company's standards. As a result, we've decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he's been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.

Our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender.

We are deeply saddened by this turn of events. But we will face it together as a news organization -- and do it in as transparent a manner as we can. To that end, Noah and I will be meeting with as many of you as possible throughout the day today to answer your questions.

Andy

NBC was paying Matt 25 million a year. They didn't fire him off a simple accusation. Look at the statement. It indicates he did something terrible and more than once. They probably have hard evidence to fire their guy so swiftly. Apparently the NY Times was investigating and preparing an article. The floodgates were about to open on this dude, so NBC canned him.
Damn he was making that much!!!? :eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2:

Matt Lauer allegedly sexually assaulted a female NBC staffer during the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014, sources told Page Six.

An NBC insider said Lauer’s alleged victim complained to HR on Monday: “This happened so quickly. She didn’t go to the media, she made a complaint to NBC’s human resources, and her evidence was so compelling that Matt was fired on Tuesday night. The victim says she has evidence that this has also happened to other women, but so far we don’t have evidence of that.”

Another source tells us that the decision to fire Lauer was made late Tuesday night by NBC News chairman Andy Lack.
