Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Matt Jones, who served a three-game suspension at the end of the 2008 season, was arrested Monday in Washington County, Arkansas, and charged with possession of a controlled substance.


The arrest was first reported by the Web site Pro Football Talk and deputy R. Hatcher of the Washington County police department confirmed it to ESPN.com.

Jones was the Jaguars leading receiver with 65 catches and 761 yards despite the suspension under the league's personal conduct policy. That suspension came after a failed appeal and was the result of a violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

Jones was charged with cocaine possession in July when a police officer in Fayetteville, Ark., saw him inside a parked car allegedly cutting up cocaine with a credit card. In September, Jones agreed to enter a drug treatment program that could erase the felony charge against him.

Ight this is his second drug arrest, Goodell will bring down the hammer or face serious scrutiny from the NFLPA and media.
 
Looked the dude is not that big of a name white or black. They reasons I know about him is because he plays for the team that I root for. Hope he doesn't get suspended though we need him he is our best wide out.
 
They've got a link on espn.com but no image/video like they would if this were a football player that was darker than a paper bag.

Your wrong fam. He was a high Draft pick four years ago because of his size speed and athleticism. Plus he was a QB and a basketball player in college. People know about Matt Jones nationwide because we was posed to be the white Randy Moss. 6'6 run a 4.3 forty and damn near a 40 inch vert. People know about him but ESPN rather gossip about the Dallas Cowboys alleged locker room quarles:hmm:
 
Just watched the update on the local news. He knew that he was subject to random drug testing as part of his probation agreement, and the last test showed traces of the alcohol.

Apparently this dumb ass decided to have a "few beers" during a golf tournament this weekend, and admitted as much to the judge. The judge had the option to place him under a house arrest or in jail.

The judge took a recess, came back, and opted to throw his ass in jail until Sunday... :smh::lol::hmm:

Espn will definately show the Matt Jones montage...however the montage of video will be opposite of TO's...it wont show any drops,heated moments,and absolutely not him going to or from jail (which incidentally is more problematic than wanting the ball or wanting to win).

and you must know in a thread where points of dynamics are clearly understood (open/shut) if it involves anything mainstream semi newsworthy..BGOL's misanthrope will enter the thread in an effort to hijack because if it starts a thread nobody will respond and this is its only means to diaglogue...just ig it.
