‘Matrix Trilogy’ ‘Matrix 4’ Update: The Title Rumored To Be ‘The Matrix Resurrection’

March 22, 2016 09:27 AM EDT

Keanu Reeves the heartthrob of millions has been churning hits one after the other in the last few years. The fans of the matrix trilogy series are waiting for the fourth instalment and as per the latest updates, the ''Matrix 4'' might be named ''The Matrix Resurrection.''

Date release talked in details about the rise of ''Matrix'' franchise and mentioned ''In 2012, people started talking that The Matrix might be, in fact, not a trilogy, but tetralogy.'' The fans were waiting for the updates on this movie; however, the Wachowski brothers released ''Jupiter Ascending'' in 2015.

''It would seem that the history of Neo, The Chosen One in the future sci-fi verse, who was able to cope with the Matrix, has not been forgotten. The Wachowski siblings still believe in the continuation of the saga.''

take with giant grain of salt.....

youd think WB would not let the Wachowski Sisters ever direct a film for them again after the hot garbage that was Jupiter Ascending..

On another note, I have no idea why people thought John Wick was such a good movie. It was one cliche after another.

Only sequel this motherfucker should concern himself with is John Wick 2
John Wick was such a pleasant surprise. I thought Keanu was done after The Matrix trilogy. Even the great Laurence Fishburne had to return to TV, though I'm sure he'll return more prominently to film at some point. But yes, please hurry up with the sequel. The actor who runs The Continental said it's going to be pretty much the same premise, though. I don't know how I feel about that.

Well I wrote a script and I'm working on a video treatment for a matrix movie check it out

The Matrix: Disciples Path

Fam, I did the same thing and dropped it. I used to "practice" while I warming up and found myself writing out of cliché circles but next thing you know I had what seemed like an Akira rip off on my hands and I trashed it. I'm usually not that objective. lol.

I seen some of my shit in that flick The Signal and realized my ideas weren't as fresh as I thought.

In a good way. The brothers that directed that flick are 2nd Unit masters. They also did work on Winter Soldier and Civil War - the airport scene specifically. What they bring to the table is cliché but in a meta way. They winking to the audience and now winking all the way to the bank.

I liked John Wick up until the ending. I thought Reeves turn in Street Kings was a better story but Wick looked like a classic 80's style film. It had shades of Raw Deal, 48 hours, Action Jackson, etc...

Everybody going back to TV and forth to film. Its a steady paycheck but also TV IS NOT what it used to be, some of these series are fine tuned for mass appeal but others are diamonds. What HBO and Showtime and Starz have done is remarkable work. Filmmakers absolutely love HBO.

The article that the OP posted is dated March 2016. Not January 2011.

Check the link.

Even if they talked about making new Matrix
Movies back then, this information is more recent.

Yup. Just about to post this - fam, WB talking that bullshit to stir up interests. Then they could cherry pick the net for ideas and see what the masses think and whats trending. My boys on Collider movie talk just passed over the news without second thought.

oNE

I knew something was up when they mentioned 3D tech. That's old hat, VR maybe...

There's nothing recent here. The OP posted an article that originally comes from something posted on ainitcoolnews in 2011. The "recent" article in 2016 mentions "The Matrix Resurrection" but google that title and you'll see a 2009 article from slashfilm.com, which sounds credible, until the author reveals that it's an April Fool's joke.

Keanu Reeves to star in a fourth The Matrix movie

Whoa: Keanu Reeves is going to re-enter The Matrix.

Warner Bros. is rebooting the cyber-action franchise with a fourth film starring Reeves (Neo) and his former Matrix costar Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity).

Lana Wachowski — the co-creator the original film — is set to write, direct and produce an all-new film.

“We could not be more excited to be re-entering The Matrix with Lana,” said Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group. “Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe.”

“Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now,” added Wachowski. “I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends.”

The screenplay is by Wachowski, Aleksandar Hemon, and David Mitchell.

In addition, 20th-anniversary screenings of The Matrix are going to be held at AMC Theatres across the U.S. starting Aug. 30.

The new movie revives the franchise after a 16-year slumber. The previous trilogy launched with The Matrix in 1999, then followed with sequels The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions 2003. Collectively the films have earned more than $1.6 billion at the global box office.

Reeves recently led John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum to that franchise’s best box office tally yet, grossing $320 million worldwide (the film also included a perhaps prescient shout out to The Matrix).

The fourth Matrix film doesn’t yet have a release date or title. The Matrix Rebooted?

After the shit the Wachowski's have put out lately... I don't want them to touch this.

It's not really a reboot if the orginal characters are in it.

And unless those trannies got more material from that black woman they stole the idea from it's gonna be complete ass.....everything they have made so far is complete trash.
Wait what?

I thought something was fishy when I remember them being called the wachosski brothers

Fuck is lana

Matrix Franchise to Regenerate With Fourth Film Starring Keanu Reeves

Get your spoons, everyone! We’re going back into The Matrix. Variety broke the news today that Lana Wachowski is directing a fourth installment of the franchise with her chosen ones, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, set to reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity. Wachowski will write the script with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell, and the movie will be produced and distributed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow. This is real! It is not a simulation!

John Wick director and stunt professional Chad Stahelski actually spilled the beans about this back in May when he was promoting Parabellum, telling Yahoo Movies U.K., “I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not just doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we all loved,” Stahelski said. “And if it’s anywhere near the level of what they’ve already done, it wouldn’t take more than a call to go, ‘Hey, we want you to be a stunt guy’ and I would probably go and get hit by a car.” He added at the time that he didn’t know if Lana would be directing, but now that that’s confirmed, get ready to plug back into the sim, everybody.

this is great news.

edit: as long as they don't go the route they did with netflix and sense8.

I saw the second one and didn't like it, I didn't see the third.

I don't see how this 4th matrix can be any good. I just don't see it

the 1st Matrix maybe my favorite of all time, its close with Jurassic Park,Jaws and 1978 Halloween. The 2nd one was really good but 3rd one was garbage. If they go back to the energy of the 1st one this may work but if they come with some stupid new angles it will flop just like MIB did this summer
