If this happens, Obama is 1 and done. I know all the Obama hating coons are happy and waiting for this to happen. How the fuck is this even going on. :smh::smh::smh::smh:

Crackers are counting their chickens before the hatch. No way Massachusetts people will elect a clown who has already said he'll block Kennedy's life-long passion, i.e. heath care. CACs are in for a surprise here and at the mid term elections. They're not going to win nearly as many seats as they think they will. :hmm:

I posted this shit early today... if the dems lose MASS.. the mid terms gonna be a slaughter..worse than 1994

Actually, no matter what happens this would be a win for Obama in the coming elections. A Repub with a successful filibuster will result in so much animosity for that party, Fox news and their bullshit will be burnt down. All Republicans will have to hide in the hills.

The woman,Martha Cloakly...is not a person that is easy to like.
In fact,I can't stand her...and she has run a lousy race, mainly just doing negative ads about Scot Brown.Brown has mainly stayed above the bullshit...and it's worked.

On Tuesday,I will hold my nose and vote for the bitch, which she is...

I'll do it for the team...certainly not for her.

they were betting on a low dem turn out and a swing off indie voters going repub. might've happened if everything woulda just stayed local. but since it's been all over the newz u got more dems like "WHAT?!"

those mutha fukas are gonna turn out in mass numbers come tuesday. ain't no way that repub is gonna win imo

Have to agree with both of you!!! Its not going to happen. The media in Boston has every tv news and paper all over this. All democrats in Massachusetts where just going to let it slide as an easy win and not vote. Now there have been so many rallies this week(and this weekend) Brown can't win. Most of my friends and I will be there on Tuesday to make sure she wins(only for the team not for her:rolleyes:).

This is a Democratic state and it will stay that way!!!!

Exactly... She's a shitty candidate but Massachusetts is 2-1 Democrats and it's all about turnout, they can't be that apathetic in a race of this importance.

I think that republicans implemented a brilliant strategy or a stupid one, depending on their objectives. The strategy was brilliant if they realized that Brown had no chance in really winning, and wanted to "muck up the water" a bit. They get the democrats to spend time, money and energy on a race that should have been locked down, then they would go into 2010 with the momentum. However...

If the republicans actually want to win this seat, then they would have had a better chance if they hadn't awoken the sleeping giant in Mass. With all of the republican crowing, people are finding out how much of a pig with lipstick Brown is, and how electing a Teabagger like him would crimp the progressive agenda.

Brown can still win, but I believe that he would have had a much better chance if they had continued what they were doing without all of the fanfare.

Health bill at stake, Obama to stump in Bay State(Yahoo)
BOSTON – His health care plan in peril, President Barack Obama laid on a last-minute campaign trip to Massachusetts for Democrat Martha Coakley on Sunday

The polls say Its Brown's 50% of the vote to Coakley's 46%.
There will be so many people Here on Sunday to see Obama support her!!!
She will win!!!

She'll win but it'll be close. Democrats are 3 to 1 to republicans.

True,but.....I,like so many hate the bitch.

Her history as a D.A. is terrible.Think any member of the Amerault family will be voting for her?
The family that she single-handedly destroyed...imprisoning the mother, son and his wife on trumped up charges of child-molestation.
While letting an admitted kid-toucher cop walk...because he was from the 'right' family...

Damn.....kills me I gotta vote for this bitch.

The above poster is an idiot. You believe she's a lousy human being but you're willing to take one for the team tho?

Have you ever heard of "the lesser of two evils"?

also known simply as the lesser evil, is the idea that of two bad choices, one isn't as bad as the other, and should be chosen over the one that is a greater threat.

The lesser of two evils principle is today most commonly used in reference to electoral politics, particularly in Western nations, and perhaps in the United States more than anywhere else. When popular opinion in the United States is confronted with what is often seen as two main candidates — normally Democrat and Republican in the modern era — that are substantially similar ideologically, politically, and/or in their economic programmes, a voter is often advised to choose the "lesser of two evils" to avoid having the supposedly "greater evil" get into office and wreak havoc on society.

Coakley is a shitty canidate who has sat out a good portion of the race letting Brown gain ground on her. Her history has a lot of people against her, but she could represent the 60th vote. Like the brother above said....the lesser of two evils.

I just met Scott Brown and his son several minutes ago at a relief effort rally for Haiti at Hibernian Hall in Roxbury. He was there with Deval Patrick doing photo opps. His opponent Martha Coakley wasn't there and that distances her from the people of the city. She has a weird and fake-ish vibe about her. That's why the recent polls have been favoring the republican candidate. Scott is goin' hard. He is anywhere and everywhere to rally support for his campaign.

All the campaigning in the world shouldn't mean shit when you're in the minority party. The hyping of the poll numbers is part of the republican strategy. Hard to tell how accurate they are. They're meant to inspire his crowd, but they may well have motivated the opposition.

Fact is, Coakley is sophisticated and intelligent. She's not into mucking around with the lowest common denominator the way the super-slick Brown is. Plus, she's CORRECT on the issues, which is all that should matter.

However, Brown's daughter, Ayla, a former American Idol finalist and current Boston College basketball player, is pretty nice.

A republican candidate vs the shitty ass democrat candidate(according to yall)...Theres no win win in this situation period. If dude wins, not only will healthcare be stopped, republicans will position themselves for taking back a good number of seats in the midterms. The Dems can only blame themselves.

The other democratic candidates did not have enough support and were relatively unknowns.

That, and the record low turnout during the primaries.

She's really....really...not likable. I'm glad this is just to serve out Ted's term...how long would she serve???

I just pray democrats turn out on Tuesday. Or it will be a long rocky term for Obama and this Country.

The 2010 United States Senate special election in Massachusetts will take place on January 19, 2010. It will be a special election to fill the Massachusetts Ted Kennedy(deceased) Senate seat for the remainder of the term ending January 3, 2013

Brother Blues has the correct approach except I wouldn't even be as reluctant as him.

The winner of this election will be the Massachusetts Senator for the next three years and have every advantage in capturing a normal six year term after that. If Martha Coakley is going to vote the right way on the important issues, what does it matter how she fucked over the Amerault family in the past?

It's cold pragmatism but I'd endorse a lousy human being on the right team over a lousy human being on the wrong team any day... There are no perfect choices but there are smart choices.

I have a bad feeling about this shit... This woman is an idiot and I'm not sure she really cares.

Well, I wouldn't call her an idiot. I mean, she's not Sarah Palin, she's just.....ugh.

I'll be voting for her though. Too important to allow Brown in, the Dems need to get shit done.

How is she an idiot??? No one had a beef with her when she was just the Attorney General of the state. Now all of a sudden she's supposed to "dumb down" (and sell out) in order to appeal to the rednecks?

I'm talking about her being an idiot in terms of the way she has campaigned... How do you take almost an entire week off with under a month to go in the race? How do you get outworked so badly in a race this important?

Whatever you say of his intelligence and work ethic, George W. Bush at least campaigned smart... He was smart enough to know to take your vacations after you've got the job locked up. This race is 50/50 largely because she hasn't campaigned with the necessary vigor... Is that smart?
