There was a neighborhood in DeKalb County years ago that was begging for a traffic light, because drivers were ignoring the stop sign, and people were getting run over at the intersection where they wanted it. They were constantly denied by the city. A city council member's wife & daughter were t-boned by a car at that same intersection. Wife died and the daughter was seriously injured, but survived. That traffic light went up with the quickness after that.
