Reports Reveal Marvel Studios Plans For X-Men Live Action Reboot & Some Fans Are Not Going To Like Them

In March 2019, Marvel Studios regained the film rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool after Disney’s acquisition of Fox for $71.3 billion.
These characters are planned to be integrated into the MCU. In October 2020, the ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ films were rebranded as “Marvel Legacy films” on Disney+. Notably, Patrick Stewart already reprised his role as an alternate Professor X in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ and Kelsey Grammer returned as Beast in ‘The Marvels’. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ a sequel to ‘Deadpool 2,’ will bring Deadpool and Wolverine, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, respectively, into the MCU continuity.
We know that the ‘X-Men’ reboot project has been in talks for quite some time now, and the studio is actively looking for writers. The latest scoop comes from Daniel Richtman, an industry insider with a decent track record. He touched upon the topic of the upcoming project and revealed what the studio is currently aiming to do with it.
According to Richtman, the studio is currently looking for a writer that balances both comedy and drama well but the film shouldn’t be oriented toward humor too much. It’s also going to be female-oriented with the inclusion of lesser-known characters that were not featured in live-action yet.
The thing with this scoop is that it’s not exactly as specific as we would like it to be. MCU projects almost always have a decent balance of humor and comedy, and arguably most of the projects released in recent times have been female-orientated, something that feels pushed no matter how open-minded and progressive you are.
The only positive thing about this scoop is the inclusion of new characters, and we would love to see them, but then again, MCU feels a bit crowded currently, especially with Fantastic Four on the way.
XMen 97 has lots of strong women characters and it's better than ANY live action X Men movie. And it ain't even close.Sounds like business as usual for the M-She-U
They're not going to stop because they never learn and they're pitching to a demographic that barely exist. Women aren't into superhero flicks that much. There's nothing wrong with a little humor just doing over do it like phase 4. Ditch the whimsical tone. There's nothing wrong with a little humor just don't over do it and make sure the jokes are funny and timed just right.XMen 97 has lots of strong women characters and it's better than ANY live action X Men movie. And it ain't even close.
Maybe they should stop trying to make comedies.
Real talk.Smart move
When the CGI studio complained about being overworked and you could tell with some of those projects
Watered down the projects when they need to be fine tuned
Wrong thread and stop simping that self hating meth head.
