It’s a marvel studios movie! It’s not a Sony movie! Sony splits profits with marvel but marvel studios writes and produces the movie; they ain’t lending nothing to Sony…

Since 1999 Sony owns all Spider-Man related film IP rights... Every Spider-Man live Film or live TV, animated, or associated film is owned and distributed by Sony... Not Disney
Marvel are Co-Producers along with Columbia Pictures...
Why you think Sony/Columbia Pictures keep putting out shitty Karven, Morbius and Madam Web films... to keep the IP...
Disney/Marvel owns Spider-Man TV animation, Video Games and Merchandise rights...
They revised the agreement over the years to allow Spiderman to appear in The MCU / Disney / Avengers films while Sony keeps the live film rights but with Marvel Studios Productions...

Sony Pictures owns those rights. However, there is a production agreement between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures that allows Spider-Man to appear in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies and potentially other projects. The agreement allows Marvel to use Spider-Man in their movies and in return, Sony is allowed to produce their own Spider-Man-related
Sony holds the film rights to Spider-Man, while Marvel Studios had the creative control over his character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Initial Agreement:
In 2015, Sony and Marvel reached an agreement to allow Spider-Man to appear in MCU movies, with Marvel retaining creative control and ensuring his integration into the universe.
Again marvel studios produces and controls the movie and they split profits with Sony! Sony doesn’t have any creative control over Spider-Man at marvel studios! So again marvel studios isn’t lending out any characters to Sony…
Thats crazy; it was one of the best, if not the best, marvel studios TV show...
