Looks like WBC middleweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez (45-2-2, 24 KOs) of Argentina will take on Paul “The Punisher” Williams (39-1, 27 KOs) on November 20th in a rematch, a venue for the fight has not been determined but possibilities include New York, Atlantic City and California. The two fighters engaged in an exciting back and forth action bout last year which ended in a controversial loss for Martinez. Sergio Martinez then went on to claim the WBC/WBO middleweight titles from the then reigning middleweight champion Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik (36-2, 32 KOs) via unanimous decision this past April in Atlantic City, NJ. Martinez was then stripped of his WBO title, due to one of the organization’s rules, less than 2 months after having defeated Pavlik. Martinez is expected to begin training camp in mid September for this fight.

I am so stoked. I love that they are going to give us a fight like this. Boxing needs people talkingabout great match ups and less of the bs that has been going on lately.

If Martinez' stamina can hold up, he can win. I got Williams by a hair.

'Bout fucking time. At least 2010 can close strong.

I got Martinez....this time around....

Not to brag or anything like that, but I had him the first time around.

When I saw Williams fight Quintana the first time around, I knew he couldn't handle a slick type of boxer.

That's why when the first time I saw that the fight was gonna happen, I knew that Martinez would beat him by decision.

But whatever, can't wait to see this one :dance::dance:

I'm gonna say Martinez in a late round stoppage. Williams gives his height away when he fight and gets more and more hittable each time. Honestly, I had a feeling he'd turn into this type of fight ever since the Mitchell fight, but I thought he'd mature. PW has totally lost his glare IMO.

BTW Toney by KO in the first 2min:D:rolleyes:
Randy shouldn't have done the Expendables

late round stoppage. I don't know dude's chin is strong. Maybe cuts....

I agree on everything else on Williams. Dude has mad advantages but his trainers aren't using his abilities right let alone trying to elevate him as a fighter. Instead its like he is deteriorating as a fighter.

Toney will lose. He isn't a puncher and the fight will be decided on the ground.

Yeah, probably on cuts, but I wouldn't be surprised if that chin has softened up a bit due to his non-evolving skill. And yeah, you're right about Toney, but I still got him by KO! Black Power!!!

Williams will win easily. The last time someone challenged him he LOST. When he came back he destroyed the guy. He beat Martinez even though Martinez looked like he hit a couple of times. Even so, Williams didn't go ANYWHERE. He's going to dominate Martinez and erase all doubt.
