Gucci killed somebody that was trying to kill him. Why you think he aint locked up over that? Straight self defense. Only reason he did time over that was because he was a felon with a weapon. #2 Don't act like ATL is the only place in the US where people randomly get shot up. D.C., New Orleans, Detroit, Chi-Town, Cincinnati. Get your argument together and come back cuz it's full of holes, no disrepect.

Most of the murders in the NO are based on something, drugs, money, pussy, retaliation. There are very few random shootings.

4-year-old: ‘My whole family is dead’By KATIE LESLIE

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Minutes after a woman escaped a shooting rampage and called 911, neighbor Samantha Manchester watched from the street as Gwinnett County police surrounded the two-story home on Clairidge Lane.

An officer pounded on the door, she said, but no one was prepared for who answered: a 4-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to her chest.

Manchester said an officer grabbed the child and whisked her away from the site where police say Richard Ringold, 44, shot five people, killing four.

Manchester and another neighbor tried to comfort the girl as paramedics cut off her bloodied clothing and began treatment, she said.

“The little girl was so strong. She was not crying,” Manchester said. “When they were tearing off her clothes, she looked around at all of us and all she could say was ‘My whole family is dead.’”

It’s unclear which relatives may have died in Thursday’s shooting. Manchester said the little girl lives with her mother, a sister around the age of 9 and a grandmother at the home.

Police say two females and one male were dead at the scene, and a woman believed to be in her 20s was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where she died a short time later, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said.

The little girl was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite for surgery, Spellman said.

Ringold, who police say was arrested after he returned to the crime scene, faces charges including four counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault. He is being held without bond.

Manchester said she is consumed with thoughts of the injured girl, who may have helped police quickly identify the shooter.

“I feel so sad for her,” Manchester said. “This little girl will be traumatized the rest of her life.”

Just heard on WBOK that the family is from New Orleans and that a local pastor is gonna pay to fly the child and the bodies back for burial.

Poor baby had to see all that. He doesn't need to die fast, he needs to be tortured and then put out of our misery.

Wounded 4-year-old girl only survivor as family killed

05:14 PM CDT on Monday, August 31, 2009

Kate Brumback / Associated Press ATLANTA -- When police responding to a 911 call banged on the door of a suburban Atlanta home, they were greeted by a 4-year-old girl in a blood-soaked shirt who said her whole family was dead, a neighbor said.

Gwinnett County police said 44-year-old Richard Ringold fatally shot two women, a man and an 11-year-old girl and injured the 4-year-old Thursday night. Police believe Ringold lived at the house and was the boyfriend of one of the women killed but were still investigating the motive and circumstances Friday, said spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman.

Police responding to the 911 call arrived at the home in Lawrenceville, about 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, around 8:40 p.m. Samantha Manchester, who lives across a cul-de-sac from the two-story home, said Friday that she heard police banging on the door and yelling, "It's the police, open up!"
The officers seemed surprised, she said, when the child opened the door. As paramedics cut away the girl's shirt, Manchester and another neighbor who were trying to comfort the girl could see that she had been shot "between her heart and her shoulder blade."

"She was in shock, but she seemed like she had so much strength," Manchester said of the girl, who wasn't crying. "She said, 'My whole family's dead.'"
Police identified the dead as 28-year-old Atania Butler, 30-year-old Lakeisha Parker, 19-year-old Rico Zimmerman and an 11-year-old girl whose name was not immediately released. Butler was the mother of the 11-year-old and the 4-year-old.
The 4-year-old girl's name also was not released, but Spellman said the girl was still alive Friday afternoon at Atlanta's Scottish Rite hospital.
As neighbors from the quiet subdivision drawn by the ambulances and police cars gathered outside, police officers told everyone to go home and lock their doors because a killer was on the loose, Manchester said.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Ringold on charges of murder and aggravated assault, Spellman said. They put out an alert for Ringold and said he was armed and dangerous.

Ringold arrived at the home shortly after midnight Friday and was arrested. "
He asked what we were doing and why we were looking for him," Spellman said.
Manchester said she didn't know the family well but that they had moved to the neighborhood about a year ago from New Orleans. Butler and Ringold were often seen playing with the children outside and seemed to get along well, Manchester said.
"There's never whatsoever been anything at that house," she said. "That's why this is so surprising."

Spellman said Ringold was being held without bond at the Gwinnett County jail. He is charged with four counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault.

Mingo001- I just want to inform you that the "KILLER" was originally from New York and moved to Atlanta. Two of the victims 19 year old Rico and 30 year old Lakeisha were from Atlanta. Atania and her two children were natives of New Orleans. They relocated to Atlanta after the storm.

TKCBKJ- The killer was her boyfriend of 3 1/2 years. He was not the childrens father.

Rest in Peace Atania and Jhane, I love and miss you two dearly.

Love Always, Atania's friend since kindergarten and Jhane's Godmother
