Man strangled by 18ft pet python. Smh!

Agreed. The origin story.

Funny side note ... I've been in a few pick-up basketball games wherein there's people ranging in age from say 14 - 22. And those times when the 14yo starts LIGHTING UP the older players ... people are miserable. Their friends clowning them, etc. Had a few friends' younger brothers start hitting 3/4 of their shots. Fadeaway jumpers, all that shit. Trust me ... I was ready to fight a few people.

And a friend of mine who has NO COORDINATION joined us a few times. This one game he was on fire. I'm talking rebounding like Rodman and couldn't miss with his awkward jumpers. Even did a few sky hooks for no good reason. He hardly even watched basketball. People were ready to FIGHT HIM, haha. He was showboating ... again ... no coordination in all other aspects of day to day life ... but he could fight. So I was hoping someone squared up with him. No one did. Mean son of a bitch, lol. I was just glad he was on my team - that day!
My basketball skills are trash, so I always looked at myself as a Rodman whenever I played, a lot of good defense and that it. I used to love it when the white dudes would pick me thinkin' I could ball 'cause I'm Black and oh yeahhh...they got a surprise...lol.

I'll take that bet.

But I'm pretty sure you won't be around to "pay up". :dunno:

Did you play any other sports besides basketball?

Over here it was basketball, soccer & track & field.

Tried volleyball and baseball - wasn't very good at either.

Miss those spring / summer nights hitting the courts several times a week with friends. Always had a good rotation of people stopping by. Did that for many years in teens into early 20s.

In high school, I played football my freshman year and then I retired after the season ended. From there I only ran: I ran cross country in the Fall; indoor track during the Winter; and outdoor track in the Spring.

Nice.

I tried cross country for a season or two. Did ok, but not great.

My focus was 100m, 200m, and 4 x 100m. Did those from 3rd grade onward.

Some of our coaches were a bit out to lunch. We'd get to some of the provincial tournaments and whatnot ... and last minute they'd encourage us to get involved in some of the other events we were not trained in. "Just go out there and give it your best ..." (long jump, high jump, hurdles). I'm like ... "Nah ... I haven't trained for those and not gonna embarass myself in front of all these people. Let me focus on the short distances" (it was cool to run against friends from other schools who I knew from league sports in the city aside from running). See how our squad matched up versus theirs.

You must have had a small school, because my school took track deadly serious. It wasn't a happenstance with your events, you had to know what you were doing. I ran 800m and the 1600m, and I did the 3200m relay. It was tough and I wanted to die at a lot of those practices, but they were fun.

Cross country a season or two?....What did you do quit in the middle of your second cross country year?

Yeah, ummm...
I don't think you fully understand the power of the animal you're dealing with.
Allow me to help you...
This is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

- Wrestler.
- Strong man.
- Actor.
Mr. Johnson is 6' 5" and weighs approximately 265 lbs.
This man is ALL muscle, strength, skill and physical power.
If an enraged Mr. Johnson put you in a headlock or choke hold with the intent on killing you, you might have a chance to escape if you had a knife.

This is a Reticulated Python.
_102090308_gettyimages-175246361.jpg

A serpent that is PURE power, strength and ferocity. They can easily be as large (or larger) in circumference as Mr. Johnson's biggest bicep. It is also one of the largest serpents on Earth today and is very, very capable of taking down & killing:
- Deer.
- Humans.
- Alligators.

Mr. Johnson; (for all his strength and ability) WOULD NOT STAND A CHANCE of escaping the clutches of an 18 foot Reticulated Python if it had wrapped itself around his neck with the intent to kill him. Even if he possessed a knife...

Just some food for thought.
:puzzled:
Yeah bruh one of these most deadly and powerful creatures on earth and that's exactly why you don't have one as a pet.

Cross country sort of took a backseat as too much time devoted to basketball and soccer practices and games. Did regular track and field for about 11 years.

Yeah - fairly small school & then junior high before moving on to a school which had 3 times the amount of people.

One of our coaches said we should go and run in some of the Striders (I think that's what they were called) track meets. That was for the upper level sprinters. We went there and got SCHOOLED. Really badly. We felt like grade schoolers running against college students.

Yeah, If you really ran cross country then you would know it, there's no shortcuts in cross country. It would have been nice to go to a totally different sport like you but I wanted to use similar skills from sport to sport. I joined something like Striders, it was a weekend running club with all ages....it was aiight. We'd run in all of these unique locations.

Nice. Yeah - shoutout to all the cross country runners. It's no joke.

Really found the basketball and soccer helped with track & field, and vice-versa. Never getting out of shape back then ... it was constant. And adapting to being able to run on all sorts of surfaces - wood, grass, gravel, rubber, asphalt.

To this day I'm surprised I don't have any knee, foot, or shin issues. Especially the knees with all that wear and tear. Got lucky.

Cross country would have helped better than soccer and basketball, though. Cross country is getting in running shape or die trying.

The article - this part:

Officers with the Upper Macungie Township Police Department responded Wednesday to the home of a man
"in cardiac arrest with a snake wrapped around his neck." Senseman was found unresponsive,
and one of the officers "was face-to-face with this snake"
and shot it in the head when it was away from his body ..."

But how you know doe

You know he wasn't feeding that big ass snake what it needed to sustain.
The novelty probably wore off, and he was neglecting the snake's eating schedule. I've seen shitbags do this with dogs, so I would carry around a bag of dog food and paper water bowls to feed and hydrate the dogs.

There’s a video where a lady sent this animal scientist a video of her and her snake I think saying he loves me so much, see! That scientist responded with he sees you as FOOD!!! He doesn’t love you! Lady melted down crying. Why the fuck would you keep some deadly shit like this as a pet? I’d have made boots out of his ass long ago.
