Seriously wtf? We gotta do better. How come no one move him or come to his aid? Everyone was just walking by nonchalantly! At a certain point we gotta get mad at our own for stupid shit like this and quit concentrating on what others do to us. This just breaks my heart, so fucking sad!
what i'm tryin figure out, like all of us, is what led up to this and why was nothing done, you mean to tell me they flipped his pockets damn near soon as his head hit the pavement

Surveillance video shows more than a dozen people doing nothing to help a Chicago bartender after he is attacked, left unconscious on the street and accidentally run over by a taxi, according to a newly filed lawsuit.
Marques Gaines, 32, later died at a hospital.
Gaines' family filed a wrongful death and negligence lawsuit against several businesses and taxi companies in his Feb. 7 death.
The video the family released Wednesday shows a man outside a convenience store punching Gaines, who falls to the ground.
Seconds after he hits the ground, two men run over and steal the contents in his pocket, Chris Hurley, the attorney representing the family told FoxNews.com.
“Literally seconds after he hits the ground,” Hurley said. “It’s pathetic.”
The video shows people ignoring Gaines and walking by before a taxi runs over his body. Hurley said the store’s security guard who witnessed the fight and called 911 failed to help Gaines who was lying in the street.
Chicago police say detectives are investigating and that the cab driver was not cited at the scene.
Relatives tell the Chicago Tribune they hope eyewitnesses will help identify the attacker.
"It was gut-wrenching," Drexina Nelson, Gaines’ cousin told the Tribune. "We had heard over the course of these past few three months what happened, but to actually see it with our own eyes was devastating."
Hurley said an official autopsy was not released but medical records indicate that Gaines died from the taxi’s impact and not the punch.

I hope that the piece of shit scavengers are caught. The mofo that knocked dude out is caught. And most of all that reckless ass cab driver. I mean dude basically drove into a crowd of people. And the guy on the ground. He cant say he couldnt see him theres lights everywhere.
The cab driver was not cited at the scene. Well what happened to the cab driver? I did not know you could run over somebody and just park your car on their body.
Damn that was really sad but he should have ran while the guy was distracted.
