but this story stinks:

at six-foot-nine and 202 pounds with a shoe size of 16, had been attending Catholic Central as a 17-year-old Grade 11 student. He was also a star on the Catholic Central Comets senior boys’ basketball team.

He was even living with Comets head coach Pete Cusumano through a program called Canada Homestay, which finds homes for foreign students.

Cusumano said Wednesday he wasn’t allowed to talk about the situation.

But back in January, Cusumano told the Star in an interview for a feature story that Nicola was so good for a young ballplayer that he had a shot at going to the NBA.

I think they including the coach figured he had a ringer and could help keep the man from going back to hellish Sudan

This has been done for years.

In Chicago there was a coach who used to bring in African players he got from "broker". He would house the players and falsify their school transcripts, birth records and such.

One player had already graduated..They would come in through Canada which made it easier and most were over age.

The broker was a cat named Babacar Sy.

He eventually got caught and his HS team forfeited the entire season and the coach was run out of the CPL.He know runs a prep school in Florida and Sy was also associated with a prep school last I knew.

Maybe he saw how white female teachers were getting down with students and wanted some of that Billy Madison action.

I'm with the other guy: post his stats. I was 5'5 and only averaged 3.3 points. I hope he wasn't putting up Roy Hibbert numbers.
