Mother's day is a religious holiday as well over there. Here, it's purely secular and all about gifts, flowers and expensive dinners. It's the busiest restaurant day of the year in the U.S.
we're just going to IHOP. we don't really celebrate birthdays or holidays either.
We only do Christmas because of my daughter. She's the only child in the immediate family, and the first female of my last name born in 75 years. She has a trust waiting.
There are a few females in my mother side, though.
Let's see we got ribs, brats, fish, chicken, baked beans and corn on the cob and its all going on the grill in about an hour. Oh yeah the fish is sitting in a moonshine marinade.
