They cheap, if you making money they got to pay the other cat 10%........................................they aint trying to do that. Right now referral cats are bad cause their business is growing to quick, as is evident the last few weeks with pay cuts.

^Yep, thats what I did. Just go to chacha.com and click on become a guide. The process is easy as hell BUT....it can take a while before you actually see any money in hand. It takes about a day for them to get back to you on the inital app. When accepted, you do your first test, which is just general knowledge and typing skills (make sure you read all that info they show you beforehand, its on the test). As soon as you finish that, you have to complete a simulation test, where you do 15 practice searches. I heard if you fuck up on any of these you dont make it, but you shouldnt, shit is easy. It takes about 2-3 days for those to get graded. While you wait on that, start sending your info in. If you do the pay-me-now option, set up your account. You have to fax your ID and signature in for that, just so you know. Once you get the acceptance email, just start knockin out questions. Your debit card will take 7-10 days to get to you. Just to give you an idea, I completed the sign-up process on July 12th, and I got my debit card on the 31st. But it took maybe an extra week, because I didnt know about the faxing the ID thing. But in that time I had done about 1800 question, built my balance up to about $300 . And that was only doin it for about 2-3 hours a night.

If it were possible to make 1,000 a week from that site - I'd be one of the few to do it. I have a computer-based business, and I multi-task like you wouldn't believe.

There were some questions that I was unsure of. When I was finally found the answers, I realized that I couldn't go back. I also should have asked around about what type of questions would be on the test...
...because, then, I would have commited what I read on that site to memory. I was just reading the site to kind of gain and idea of what it was all about.

Dam I don't know how true this is but one of the people I referred said they passed all test (even sim) but said they are not currently accepting any more guides at the moment. If they are accepting more in the future they will contact them. BGOL let me know if you heard anything like this.

The test was easy 'cause you took the time to read the site, or knew where to find the answers in the given time limit. You being prepared for this test, is no different than me being prepared for the typing portion - even though my prepartion took years of repition, and yours took minutes or so, of commiting what you read to memory.
I underprepared, and flunk. Either that, or they're only accepting the highest scores, because of their desire/need to cut back on guides. I know I didn't miss that many questions, but left some blank, to go back to, only to realize that I couldn't. They didn't tell me my score. They said that my score was unsatisfactory. Whatever...
That was hardly the Stanford-Binet; even though you're trying to make it seem like it was. I expect nothing less on BGOL.

* Guides would like to better understand the quality control process and to receive more feedback
* Guides were concerned about a ?rollercoaster? effect if they missed a week of Guiding.
* System performance impacts on ability to attain completion benchmarks or search minimums for Top Guide.
I?ll address the concerns one by one, so read on!
Change to Top Guide Requirements
We?re lowering the minimum requirement of weekly searches necessary to become a Top Guide down from 300 to 200 (reduced by a third!). After a lot of consideration we decided to lower the requirement to decrease the time commitment a Guide has to make to ChaCha. If you can complete your searches with an average time of 2 minutes that means a requirement of about 6 hours a week to meet that goal. What?s more, this is retroactive so if you were able to answer more than 200 queries last week with a 95% or above Guide rating and met the session completion benchmark, look for your name on the Top Guide list this Thursday.
The Expeditor
Are you still unsure that you can complete 200 searches in a week or are you more of a ?spare-time? Guide? Well you might be a perfect candidate for ChaCha?s newest role as an Expeditor. The Expeditor sits at the crux of the system, converting all incoming questions into a standard form, determining if answers already exist, and categorizing the questions so they?re routed to the best available Guides.
You can sign on whenever you please and it?s fast-paced. The average hourly earnings are approximately $4 - $7 (average transaction time is approx. 20 seconds). We will be making a formal announcement about this role in the next day or so with more details and how anyone can become an Expeditor, so stay tuned!
Bigger, Better Quality Control
We are making several adjustments to the Quality Control process to increase the volume of reviews and we?re working on making it more transparent to all Guides. We want you to have good feedback so that you can enhance your answers. Soon, we will also be incorporating input from Customers and other Guides for more of a 360 degree view. We?ll keep you posted regarding some of the new ways we will make Quality feedback available to you. Quality is one thing we will never compromise on and we strongly encourage our Guides to always try and exceed our 95% minimum accuracy rating.

We are going to make it as easy as possible for you to attain this new goal of 200 searches per week. This weekend we identified a number of areas that affect system stability and efficiency and are working to improve those issues. Please note: the change to the search minimum is retroactive. ChaCha employs detailed reporting on a system-wide basis to ensure that ChaCha technical problems do not impact Guide performance calculations. For more information, please refer to the KB.
What?s really exciting is the new turbocharged answers screen in the upcoming Universe! We?ve incorporated much of the feedback you gave us in the Technical Support survey and redesigned the entire screen where you format and send your answers to Customers. Additionally, since all questions will be categorized in our new system, you will get the relevant Quick Links page for your search. For example, the Sports Quick Links page pops up when you get a basketball question. The new answers screen is built for speed and could shave anywhere from 10-30 seconds (or more!) off of your total search time.
Top Guides Earn a Break!
Top Guides were concerned about a ?rollercoaster? effect if they missed a week of Guiding. We have decided to address this by looking at Guide performance over a four week period. Here?s an example of how the new program would work:
For the last three weeks, Gus has been a Top Guide, achieving 95% quality, 95% completion, and doing hundreds of searches each week. Gus decides to participate in American Idol tryouts and needs to practice every day, so he doesn?t get a chance to ChaCha during that week. Gus can retain his Top Guide pay-rate the following Thursday. Read on for the specifics on how this program works.
* You must attain Top Guide for three consecutive weeks (of the four week rolling period)
* You must accumulate 800 searches during the four week period
* The fourth week, if you are not able to log on or do not attain the 200 search benchmark, if you still met the quality and completion criteria, you will be eligible to continue receiving $.20 per question even after your week of inactivity or lower activity.
A ChaCha comic strip with examples will be posted in the KnowledgeBase in the next 24 hrs.
