There are 365 days a year. If someone wants to take a day twice a year to vote, whether it is to vote someone in that will do something, or to prevent someone from having power that may do harm or for any other reason, then what is the big deal?

You seem to be projecting what you expect or want a dem to do for you onto other people. Would I like reparations? Sure. Is it in my top 10? No. In most cases, since about 2004, most any dem is better than any republican.

I love Daily Kos. They first came to my attention during hurricane Katrina. They had several diaries documenting the abuses against black folks down there. However, there are some racists. There are some who are also not intentionally racist or insensitive, they can just go about their daily lives without having to deal with it in their personal lives and don't want to hear about it or be responsible for curbing it. There was this one white girl who did picture diaries about Obama, really nice diaries that evoked emotion, and put him in a positive light. They hated her. LOL. She was the one who pointed out that the uptick in violence against black men by police officers and others were as a result of them targeting black men as a proxy for Obama. I visit there several times a week, but I'm not blind to it's faults. Its a good source of information, and it can be a great community, but it's not perfect.
