Magic vs Jordan

man.. it was nothing like watching Magic on the fast break with Byron Scott and James Worthy on the wings...and Cooper trailing...

my favorite player of all time.
i loved watching him growing up.
i damn near cried when i found out he had HIV:(

That was back in the days when HIV was a death sentence for real..i was expecting him to die of AIDS with a year or someting

Top 5 players that came into the league since the ABA Merger (total career wise)

1. Michael Jordan
2. Magic Johnson
3. Tim Duncan
4. Shaquille O'Neal
5. Larry Bird

I dare anybody to get somebody else into the top five

And as far as a Magic vs. Jordan comparison, Magic didn't play not a spick of defense, and Magic had James Worthy and Kareem for the better half of his career, plus as stated before Magic himself has said Jordan is the GOAT, end of story

I met Michael Jordan in 1996. I wanted to be as productive and respected in whatever field I chose, as he was in productive and respected in basketball. He looked at me, and told me that I had better leave and get to work, because I had quite a task ahead of me.

It was then that I realized Jordan loved the smell of his own shit.

what's wrong with him saying that :dunno: it seems to me like he's saying he worked VERY VERY hard to get where he is at, and you have to also...
maybe you were being a faux-mo on that 1 :hmm:

to all you idiots that keep saying its a team sport, lets rewind to the finals bulls vs. lakers start five

Lakers: Bulls:
Magic Jordan
Worthy Pippen
scott Paxon
Divac Cartwright
Perkins Grant

You can say that they were not evenly matched, Jordan is a true winner he found a way to win no matter what, end of thread.

i'm not sure what pointing out the starting lineups was supposed to prove.

the chicago bulls played better as a team in those NBA finals, and beat a fakers team that after G1 never managed to have all 5 players perform their best at the same time.

byron scott's G3 0% FGAs and 0% FTAs performance

sam perkins 6.7% FGAs G4 performance

byron scott and james worthy's DNPs in G5

for some reason, people like to talk about the defensive matchup between earvin johnson and michael jordan, but the real key to chicago's success was taking away the O of the fakers best scorer: james worthy.

the only game the fakers won was G1; after that, james worthy never got close to that many looks at the basket again. game over.
