They should have learned from that Kobe fiasco and trade bron straight up for AD. They could have used the amnesty on Bean and worked a handshake deal but they didn't. Bron has 1 year tenure with the Lakers so severing ties should be easier.

Magic was given a job that was over his head in every way, shape, form, and fashion. And it showed at every turn. Dude was fined $50,000 ten seconds after he got the job for not even knowing the rules. Rules that someone in his position should have known.
Working with disparate personalizes, a boss that tells you no sometimes, losing power struggles every now and then, dealing with players that want shit their way, and a whole host of other problems are part of the fucking job he signed up to do. Finding a way to be successful despite that is what proves your brilliance.
From the gate, dude had no long term plan or vision. He thought he was going to walk in there and turn shit around because he was Magic Johnson. Fuck this dude and his Lakers. I'm glad they're gonna suck for the next 20 years.
