Tariq A. Nasheed (also known as "King Flex" or "K-Flex") was born on the west side of Detroit, Michigan on July 1st . He is an author, actor, and game counselor. He wrote the New York Times best seller The Art Of Mackin.

Tariq moved from Detroit to Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s with his mother and grandmother. Due to slow pace and boredom of the social scene he saved money for an airplane ticket which cost $125 and decided to leave Birmingham for Los Angeles, California at age 17. A high school dropout, he was known as an infamous hustler and street legend in the Los Angeles area during the late 90's. It has been rumored that Nasheed was affiliated with the Los Angeles street gang the Crips. Tariq (then known as K-Flex or King Flex) became somewhat of a mediator between rival hustlers at that time. He created dating techniques that were a combination of what he learned from older hustlers and what he learned by reading psychology books. He called these techniques "G.I.C.2" (game, intelligence, and common sense; squared).

Nasheed became what he calls a "game advisor," meaning he would teach these G.I.C.2 techniques to men and women on the underground scene. In 1999, Nasheed wrote a book based on his dating techniques called The Art Of Mackin, which has sold over 250,000 copies. The Art Of Mackin laid the foundation for the modern "seduction" industry. His followup book Play Or Be Played (Simon & Schuster) was catered towards women trying to learn "the game." In 2005, he released another book for men called The Mack Within (Penguin), and he appeared on TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brian, as well as on MTV, VH1, and BET. Furthermore, Nasheed has a series of radio podcasts covering topics including dating, relationships, and social isssues.

He now does sold out lectures and seminars around the country and he has recently released an instructional DVD called Mack Lessons.

He has another book geared towards women that will be released in 2008 called The Art Of Golddigging.

Any numbers on how many listeners pay attention to this guy? I used to listen but I have lost interest because i dont pursue women anymore (at least off the internet) all of my attention is on my career.

Tariq actually says to put most of your attention to your career. The pussy will come naturally after that.
 
for me dude is the truth b/c it helps me understand several errors i've made with women. yeah its common sense when it comes to women and parts of life sense isnt that common and it takes some external words to make someone understand that.

Bump ... Tariq is the real deal. I agree with him about 85% of the time. Some good common sense plus some game & a little comedy equals a great podcast.
 
I've been following Tariq ever since I copped his first book, "The Art Of Macking" back in 2001. He said in one of his podcasts that what he spits is mainly common sense so I'm not gonna say that the reason why I listen to his podcasts or read his books is because he "re-invented the wheel." I like his show because he spits some real shit but he makes it very entertaining. I also like the fact that he doesn't just limit his subject matter to relationships and spitting at females. He talks about a wide range of things.

Does anyone have any interviews of Tariq on various talk shows or even the interview that he did on The Payroll Show in Dec. 2005?

Same here that's why I like listening to his show. He has good lingo when explaining things and drops the basics most dudes should know. A lot of dudes trying to be advanced but forget the basics of dealing with females.
 
As a female i find his podcasts funny and educational but he's over the top sometimes. LIke in one podcast i can remember a dude saying that his gyal been acting funni for a coupple days.. tariq quickly said... she's fucking somebody else. :eek: :lol: :lol:

I like his show. But the "production values" kill me. "brought to you by Mack Lessons Radio" . Like he has a "sponsor". I run podcast too, but I don't pretend it is a real radio show with a sponsor. This is some "FunkyFinger Production" type shit from Living Color.

And if he is really Mackin' he should be able to pull a fine ass female assistant (a different one each show) to help screen those calls and stop taking bullshit "shout out" calls (any he shouldn't have to pay her either!).

Guys forget that anyone with a computer and a mic can make the same podcast. I like him... but is he saying anything anyone here with some sense couldn't say? Most here take him way too seriously - must be young.
 
He's cool, I like him. One thing I will say is that even though what he is saying may be common sense, at least he is doing something and putting it out there, versus peeps just complaining and waiting for someone else to drop some content.

I ain't gonna lie. Montana is cool, but I agree with you COMPLETELY!! They also did/do the same thing w/ Mouse. Oh, and Sam Shane back in the day.
