One of my favorite Lynn Hamilton scenes. Many forget that she played the mother of 'Mad Dog', the cat that shot JJ on Good Times. Great scene. Rest in peace, Queen.
This might elicit some ridicule, because it IS Good Times and Sanford and Son, and it IS comedy, but...
I think the most talented natural actors in U.S. history are/were primarily Black.
Comedy is HARD to do well, according to many actors and comedians.
They were working with a script in this episode that demanded moving seamlessly from comedy to drama to tragedy. They pulled it of masterfully.
And I still maintain Samuel L. Jackson is among the world's greatest living actors.
The demise of this accomplished artist is a loss to the Art itself. May she rest in peace, and rise in light.
