A lack of promotion did little to impede Eminem‘s album sales as the rapper’s surprise LPKamikaze opened at Number One with the fourth-best sales week of 2018.

Kamikaze sold 434,000 total copies – including 252,000 digital-only traditional copies; the physical version followed a week after the album’s unannounced arrival – to give Eminem his ninth Number One album. Only the Beatles, Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Elvis Presley notched more Number One LPs, Billboard reports.

Every Eminem solo album since 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP – including the 8 Milesoundtrack – has debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200.

Only three albums – Drake’s Scorpion, Travis Scott’s Astroworld and Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys – posted better 2018 opening week numbers than Kamikaze. However, on a purely traditional sales standpoint, Kamikaze was only bested by Dave Matthews Band’s Come Tomorrowand Astroworld this year.

The week’s Top 10 included two more newcomers: Troye Sivan established a new Billboard 200 high as his sophomore LP Bloom debuted at Number Four and 72,000 copies, an improvement on the Number Seven peak of 2015’s Blue Neighbourhood. Why Don’t We’s first album 8 Songsdropped in at Number Nine.

Travis Scott’s Astroworld once again led the returnees at Number Two, a spot ahead of Drake’s Scorpion. Ariana Grande’s Sweetener finished Number Five, followed by Beerbongs and Bentleys(Number Six), Nicki Minaj’s Queen (Seven), BTS’ Love Yourself: Answer, which fell to Number Eight after debuting at Number One last week, and Juice WRLD’s Goodbye & Good Riddance at Number 10.

New releases competing for next week’s Number One include Paul McCartney’s Egypt Station, Lauren Daigle’s Look Up Child and Lenny Kravitz’s Raise Vibration, as well as an influx in sales and streams for Mac Miller following that rapper’s death Friday at the age of 26.

Just googled how old they are and she was 16 when a 22 year old MGK wrote this. I get why Em is mad. And its typical Wypipo privelage why MGK cant see why making pedo-esque tweets about Em's 16 year old daughter might not be cool.
Agreed this pencil necked perv. Cats should be universally shaming this freak into obscurity for that.

lmao @ a diss from “stan”...that was tight lol...dude just made em and MGK’s tracks look weak as hell

In a video released onTMZ, actor Gabriel "G-Rod" Rodriguez is seen confronting Machine Gun Kelly at an Atlanta restaurant bar for speaking about Em's family. "I'm gonna say it because it has to be said, you're a pussy for going for family," says Rodriguez, likely referring to MGK calling Em's then-16-year-old daughter Hailie "hot as fuck" in a now-deleted tweet from 2012. MGK is then seen shoving Rodriguez before the video cuts off. But that's not where the incident ends, according to Rodriguez.

The actor, who's appeared in Ozark, Power, and NCIS: New Orleans, told the gossip site he got into a back-and-forth shouting match with MGK and his bodyguards. (Rodriguez was hanging out at Hampton's Inn across the street from the bar.) Eventually, Rodriguez offered to fight each of them one-on-one but MGK's crew allegedly decided to jump him instead. Police told TMZ that surveillance camera footage shows the actor getting "slammed" while the other three punched and kicked him in the face. Rodriguez reportedly went to the ER for "severe facial injuries" and is plotting his lawsuit against the rapper.

Rodriguez told TMZ he'd be willing to let it go with one condition. "I will drop the lawsuit if we both sign waivers and meet in an octagon and go man-to-man without goons or weapons," he said.

The beef between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly escalated in the past few weeks after Em dissed Kelly in Kamikaze's "Not Alike." Kelly responded with "Rap Devil,"which prompted Em to fire back with Friday's "Killshot."

It's been a wild week to be a bodyguard in hip-hop: A self-proclaimed Chief Keef fan tried to run up on 6ix9ine before allegedly getting subdued by the rappers' bodyguards and footage of Russ' crew attacking Smokepurpp at Germany's Splash Festival hit social media.

Machine Gun Kelly's temper may cost him some big money.

(AllHipHop News) The man who accused Machine Gun Kelly of masterminding a beatdown in a hotel lobby is threatening to take the rapper to court if he doesn't pay up.

Gabriel Rodriguez clams MGK's crew attacked him in Atlanta, Georgia after he called the rap star a "p##sy".

His lawyer, Blake Dolman said MGK's posse acted on behalf of the rapper and claims the "intentional battery and assault" caused serious and permanent injuries to his client, adding, "The law does not allow him to hide behind others."

Police in Atlanta have identified three men involved in the attack and charged them with misdemeanor battery but Machine Gun Kelly will not be charged with any crime.
