I may be less critical of his opinion because I enjoy his music, BUT, I disagree that having a white woman president would be more "progressive" than having a black man hold down the position. I know he didn't specifically state it like that, and it is only a single quote, but you have to be careful what you say when you're in the public's eye. I know people who voted for Bush or didn't vote at all in the last election. I didn't hate them for it, but I certainly questioned their motives, intelligence, and souls.

I still contend that while a black man being president of the USA would a much bigger deal for us as a US citizens just because of the racial history of the country, a woman as president has a much bigger impact globally.
