Lupe Bypasses Obama, "I Want Hillary To Win"

No body in Obama's family tree was ever a slave. So that kinds of moots that point. Now if Obama had an African-American family tree that was slaves(meaning his black history dated back to 400 years ago in the USA) then that statement would have made more sense.

Well, Mrs Obama and his children are all born and reared in the US. They are certainly a part of his family tree. So, your statement is false.

:angry:GTFOH:angry:

1. Average life span of black men ANYWHERE on earth against the AVERAGE for women world wide

2. Average the income of black men ANYWHERE on earth against the AVERAGE for women world wide

3. Compare the percentage of black men in college to the percentage of black women in college

WTF?!?!

Fuck Lupe:angry:

Hes a muslim

Man I know maaaad Muslims who drink and smoke......

He's a muslim but rocks jewels and rocks $300 jeans, man these kids pick and chooose what parts of the religion they want..................... He aint no DEVOUT muslim and that's that.

If he muslim like that, he shouldn't be rapping or dealing with the music industry at all.

Lupe is entitled to his opinion. I may be less critical of his opinion because I enjoy his music, BUT, I disagree that having a white woman president would be more "progressive" than having a black man hold down the position. I know he didn't specifically state it like that, and it is only a single quote, but you have to be careful what you say when you're in the public's eye. I know people who voted for Bush or didn't vote at all in the last election. I didn't hate them for it, but I certainly questioned their motives, intelligence, and souls.

All in all, go Obama.

This is old as hell and was already a repost the first time i saw it but.. i gotta say between this and the Tribe Called Quest shit he said... i cant fuck wit dude. He like onea them smart dumb ass ni99as.

Yep its official, fuck lupe fiasco. What are you a gay feminist cracker-lover? Shameful that he can't stand behind a black man FROM HIS OWN HOMETOWN......:smh::smh::smh:

The problem with "quotes" is they are often taken way out of context.. like the Tribe Called Quest comment.

You really shouldn't judge a person on a quotes alone.. especially when its been proven that at please one of the quotes you mention (Tribe), was taken way out of context and was made way before the tribute event.

:hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

I think Hillary will set an example for women all around the world and hopefully effect some change, as opposed to another man pushing for agendas and pushing policies," Lupe said. "I think even if she don't do anything, just the statement that it makes--that the United States is run by a women--would be so phenomenal for the world.":hmm::hmm::hmm:

Damn, Lupe.

His logic is the same as yours, he's just come to a slightly different conclusion. He finds a woman president to be a better symbol, than a half white/half black man.

You people are funny, to say the least. You're so intolerant of thoughts that don't sync up with yours.

Wonder how many of you are actually old enough to vote.

Dude, look at the WORLD. Man are always higher up. No matter where. In many places, women are literally objects. Property.

It's totally understandable, for someone to find a woman president, to be a bigger push for our country socially, than a half WHITE MAN.

That's what I'm saying, and I'd guess his thinking is the same. It's fine to disagree, but you are all acting like he raped your mother or something.

I wasn't throwing out insults, I was being honest. You people acting like a different opinion is a personal attack towards you are pathetic.

Exactly, I'm convinced more and more and more that the Lupe was right when he was talking about "Dumb it Down". Y'all have got to be some of the most simple minded niggaz ever. Saying a half-hearted politcal statement in an interview is enough to get you to stop fuckin' with a dude musically? REally, so what about Big saying he "kidnap kids, fuck em and throw em over a bridge" and shit like that. Rappers have said way, way, way more fucked up things than " I'd like to see a female president". he didn't even say anything bad about Obama. If he had I'd say, "That's fucked up", but he just talked about being progressive in terms of sexism. Do y'all hate women that fuckin' much that you can't see that women are oppressed everywhere? Whether Barack Obama or Hillary win, it will be groups that have never been president and have been looked at as property in Amerikkka.

For real. I hope on Lu's next record he just says fuck it and makes a straight up kill, kill, kill record, so y'all can finally stop acting like bitches.

Look closely and you will see a couple of Muslim and Islamic countries there.

I repeat a woman winning it here while progressive is not as progressive as a "mulatto" (as you call it) winning it.

There's been Black leaders in the world too, but how many times has Amerikkka elected a woman or Black person to the presidency? None.

It's historic and monumental either way you slice it.

Damn, Lupe.

Hillary Clinton is hated by young white people. That is who voted for Obama. Rich liberals love that dude. Look who voted for who? Obama got the aristocratic upper eastside Manhattan people. Hillary wins with the poor, Black people and has since this campaign started.

I swear y'all stay on some "fake" Black power shit. Not even the real kind that actually empowers our people. Just argue over Black names and who niggaz endorse for president. Meanwhile, they still lockin' us up, and shootin' us down in the streets.

Lupe is clearly an evil and disgusting man. I hope god strikes him dead and he burns in hell for having his own personal opinion. It is truly a shame for people to form their own thoughts. Maybe we should bring back the gestopo.

Homeboy posted up a list of a bunch of 12 month term prime ministers most primarily in 3rd world countries and that's supposed to deflate the argument? Weak. An African American president is monumental but it is far more monumental to have a woman be the commander in chief of the lone superpower in the world. But that begs the question is the fact that it is more monumental reason enough to hinge a vote on? I'd say no.

I swear y'all stay on some "fake" Black power shit. Not even the real kind that actually empowers our people. Just argue over Black names and who niggaz endorse for president. Meanwhile, they still lockin' us up, and shootin' us down in the streets.
Preach Rev. All this we are in need of change hoopla that they swear they are not piggybackin' and I doubt 1% of these cats would go into their neighborhoods to mentor not one soul in need. True change the way we seem to acknowledge it starts from the groud up. Even if Obama 1)gets the nomination 2)wins the general election 3)doesn't get mercked in the process and 4)does his best to live up to campaign promises lots of these fools are making it seem like we will be living the golden life and the special interests that have been running this country for decades will just lie down and bend to his will because he's a good leader with vision. A likely scenario could be he will be limited by those who naturally disagree and those of us who support him will blaim the other side for fillibustering his efforts. Sound familiar? It should cause its the same technique repubs have used against dems since 2001.

The worst thing you can do is just support a black person just because their black. The buzz is because he's black not cause he's a radical and will change the world. Has anybody ask themselves what is Obama's platform. Beside I love America BS. What does Obama have that make you want to vote for him. I personally think that Hilary will make a great president. She already has all of her connections. The most important change a new Administration can do is implement National Health care system. What is Obama's stance on that? And does he have the juice to do it? Is he willing to kiss the asses of other officials to get things done. The president can't really do shit without congress in corner. I know we like to believe the hype and take things at face value but, a black president don't mean shit without black values. He has that "I am Tiger Woods" mentality. He partnered with Oprha, who has the ear of "white suburban middle american house wives." Her statements to these women put the Beef industry on it's ass a few years back if y'all remember. That's a ploy to steal attention from Hilary. He needs middle America to win. Most blacks aren't part middle america. So, who do you think he'll cater too.

I don't care who y'all vote for just make sure they're about National Health Care. The ask yourself is Obama.

Its funny how day in and day out some cats on BGOL try to relay this perception of an elitist group of independent thinkers. It all comes crashing down the minute somebody is an independent thinker and says something against the general thought process. How ironic.

I'm not into politics. I want Obama to win because of the racial entertainment value (frankly ANYBODY republican or democrat would be an improvement in my eyes).

The question is can any of you school people on where Obama stands on relevant issues? How bout Hillary?

Lupes point might have been that Hillary being a woman she would be more sympathetic to social issues than a man. Women running countries is more rare than a brown man running a country (thats a USA problem, not global)

Shit, if Obama wins the presidential race yall just gonna microscope and over analyze every single thing the man does in black and white. You're gonna be miserable. Maybe Hillary is better for BGOL. ;)

A woman as the leader of the #1 super power in the world would be amazingly huge when viewed from a global perspective. That point can't be argued at all.

no argument here.

A black man as the leader of the #1 super power in the world would be amazingly huge when viewed from a global perspective. That point can't be argued at all, EITHER. :hmm:

I still contend that while a black man being president of the USA would a much bigger deal for us as a US citizens just because of the racial history of the country, a woman as president has a much bigger impact globally.

This has got to be the dumbest shit ive read in my life.:smh:

Was just getting ready to quote that also.:smh:

Yo Lupe...shut the fuck up. :hmm: Just stick to rapping dog.

smh@this nigga going from dissing A Tribe Called Quest to this shit. :smh:

He aint diss Quest, he said that they weren't as popular as the New York dickriders make them out to be, which they weren't. Their best selling record sold 1 million, back when Snoop and Dre were doing 3, 4 million a piece, Ice cube was doing 3 mil, and Hammer was doing 10 million. Ol' revisionist history ass niggaz.

No matter what lupe decided to make his decision on it wasn't because he was black or from illinois (which really bothers me) because Chicago cats don't support each other no matter what! not saying you should vote on a person based on his/her skin color/religion/etc.... but damn why he want a woman to make history before a black man? it's still a white woman! Niggz in Chicago don't support shit from their city let alone their own race. damn shame. :smh:

It's just a backhanded political comment. Plus, Hillary's actually from Chicago. Barack Obama is from Honolulu and Indonesia.
