if there was a playoff system and a team played on the field and won their games, they deserve to play for the c-ship. period.

it's people like you that do NOT want a playoff system so your weak ass in conference play can get you voted into a nat'l c-ship game.

Well USC damn sure won't be there now. All that talk about how GREAT they are and the sorry bastards lost to STANFORD out of all people. And the most overrated team Wisconsin lost...as expected. Ohio State will run through that weak ass Big 10 as usual and I HOPE they meet up with LSU, at least that way we know the SEC is guaranteed a win since OSU has never beaten an SEC school in a bowl game.

Aiight first of all the Big-10 is not overrated, the Big-12 is. Secondly, the Big-10 is a conference built on strength while the SEC is built for speed. Last year Ted Ginn Jr. was all-world in the Big-10 and could outrun anybody. The SEC has an entire conference full of Ted Ginn’s, and it’s evident in their inter-conference match-ups.

Now obviously the Buckeyes were overmatched in the BCS title game last January, but don’t go as far as to call their conference overrated. Look at how many competitive teams week in and week out are beating up on one another, and then look at the hapless Big-12.

I will say that after watching that epic battle tonight between LSU and Florida that the SEC is the most dominant conference in all of college football. However, if you seriously follow the Big-10 you will know that they can go toe-to toe with anyone, and their coaching is among the nation’s best.

uh, you can't coach speed, and yes, the whole field is full of "ted ginn, jr's." but here's where you big 10 fans fail. when you think team speed, you think, running backs, wideouts, etc. when you say "team speed" in the SEC, that means EVERY-FUCKING-BODY.

it wasn't florida's wideouts that outran osu's cornerbacks. it was florida's defensive line & usc's defensive line that was way, way, way too fast for osu's & michigan's offensive linemen. troy smith had ZERO time to throw the ball. none. the osu offense was in reverse damn near all night. :lol:

the interior linemen, tightends, etc. in the SEC are just as big as the big 10, but they're running 4.8 - 5.0 40 yrd times.

you're contradicting the hell out of yourself.

osu & michigan were overmatched; yet the big 10 schools can play with anyone? huh?

there's some tough coaching in the SEC. besides ron zook and a younger paterno, i wouldn't even consider any other coach from that conference. none.

who's the coach at indiana? northwestern? who the fuck wants lloyd carr as their coach?
