Thanks for making my point. Again conference schedules are tough for teams that aren't elite.......which is most teams of most conferences.....elite teams go 12-0 or 12-1 for a reason.
Auburn went 13-0 in part for playing THE CITADEL, LOUISIANA MONROE AND LA. TECH. That's three gimmes right there. You toss in OlE MISS, KENTUCKY, MISS STATE, A PRE MCFADDEN ARKANSAS, that's another 4 GIMMIES RIGHT THERE!
In 2001 Oregon was "robbed" of playing Miami for the national championship game because of scheduling issues just like Auburn got "robbed in 2004."
Since 1999 (since you included Tennessee's Nat'l championship --might I add included the infamous CLINT STOERNER FUMBLE),
Oregon, Washington, Standford, Oregon State, Washington State, and USC have all won Pac-10 titles. And outside of this huge dynasty run by USC for the last 5 years, the Pac-10 has been the essence of parity.
This year CAL, OREGON, ARIZONA STATE, UCLA WILL GIVE USC A RUN. I like Arizona State the most out of the 4 challengers.......
