Looking for business partners

I've been having a hard time finding like minded people that have a willingness to partner up and create businesses together. I've been to sites like www.partnerup.com but they don't have much action in the midwest markets. (I'm based out of Ohio) I was wondering if someone knew of any other sites or online networking events that was designed for "matching up" small business professionals. I always hear about companys that have partners that have never met and I would love to expolre that opportunity

It's a marketing company that allows different business to introduce their products in new markets. I just did my first deal with a clothing brand out of Milwaukee and we did 4 launch events in 4 different markets.

I'm looking for partners that have experience in event promotions, social media marketing, and have access to the right people and places in different markets.

My next project is launch events and a digital media campaign for www.igotweight.com a soon to be launched website
