Even if the sun cease to exist that mutha fucker and everything down there with it would still live after humans.

Basically the earth would freeze and the ice would insulate the deep ocean. Since its closer to the warm core those animals that has never seen the sun would be all thats left.

Yea they eat seals cause its easier to eat seals than what's down there with the 'big dogs'
Whales need to breathe too but they take their asses down deep as well and get eaten down there too. But the plankton and little shit they love is down deeper so they have to go.

Sharks don't go deep for a reason. They don't need air they need to live lol
