London Has Fallen.......again......

I read it's most low to mid-income POC living in that building and they told them to stay inside.
Not sure what that buildings construction was....but in "fire resistant" high rise structures...it's common fire department practice to " protect in place "...stay in your apartment...place wet towels at the bottom of your apartment door ....you are far more likely to die from smoke inhalation in the hallway of the fire floor and the stairwells which act like chimneys for the smoke !!! A mass exodus clogs the stairwells preventing access to the fire.....elevators don't always work and you have to hump the equipment up to the fire.....a lesson quickly learned....never...rely on fire hoses in the building to be properly owner maintained...ever !!!

That build is huge. Can't believe only 6 people died.
So what is it like a project or something?
Like Marcy or Edenwald?

I drove past it on way to a meeting yesterday. To see it in real life, I cant even describe... to think of all the families and children that were lost

I know so many people in the Latimer area too, but luckily they are all safe. I truly cant beleive this.. heads are going to roll and at the VERY LEAST corporate manslaughter charges need to be brought against whoever both greenlit the cladding AND ESPECIALLY all at the council who IGNORED the repeated warnings of the residents that it was a deathtrap waiting to happen. They even said emergency services wouldnt be able to adequately tend to the building. Most severely, the residents association said they feared the council wouldnt do anything "unless a catastrophic loss of life" happened. Lo and behold, sadly here we are.
