Y'all niggas fakin, there was nothing wrong with his freestyle other than it was too short.

I'll be ther first to admit to something being wack but there was nothing wack about his freestyle.

Ok I'll bite. What was NOT whack about that?

Flow?
Bars?

That wasn't a freestyle... That was written.... And it STILL was wack! Look his music ain't for me, I get that so I don't shyt on the man... (beside the wack line a few sentences back) Not everybody can freestyle. Black Thought, SuperNatural; Freestyle gods. You aren't going to ascend to that level of just freestyling off the top of your head. Keeping words, their meaning and putting them to "song", that isn't just a talent that is also a skill that you have to keep up. For someone that doesn't do it and has admitted to hating it, he didn't trip over any words, his wordplay extremely linear.

Nothing about it was "Wack".

He flowed on beat, his words were clear and he didn't flub or stutter.

It's one thing not to like him, but tosay it was wack and discredit him because of who he is isn't giving an honest opinion.

So wait....you think anyone actually raps off the top of their head anymore?:roflmao:

I've had arguments on here about actual "Freestyling" is and I gave up. Most rappers can't actually rhyme off the top of their heads anymore.

If the do try they sound horrible.

Lol you're giving a rapper credit for being on beat and having clear words.

That's literally the FIRST thing a rapper should do.

So now that he actually spoke clear WHAT DID HE SAY?

I'll tell you. A bunch of bullshit.

Jesus, here we go again.

OF COURSE IT WAS WRITTEN. EVERYONE WHO GOES UP THERE COMES WITB WRITTEN. Freestyle doesn't mean improv or off the top.

Now having said that. I agree that it was whack.

And if ya notice from the edit they did, the lil nigga couldn't even get through SIXTEEN prerehearsed bars without fucking up. It's a shame. Flex shouldn't have even let him up there.

He rapped about the money he gets/has, about fucking strippers and boasting about himself like most rappers do. :dunno:

Like most whack rappers do, and even in that, there are rappers who do it , who still ain't whack. He is. Simple as that. It ain't JUST the topic, it's the ability to actually say something interesting , even if it is about something material. TI, Cyhi, Jay Z, any of them can tap about that same shit and not be as lame as this. So what he's rapping about ain't an excuse. There's just not a line in it worth repeating or memorable , and that's what the point of freestyles are.

I mentioned two artist no one else. I said it was a skill, not everyone can do it.

The fcuk you mean "here we go again"?!?!? Freestyle IS improv and off the top!!! Just cause folks can't do it doesn't mean you change the meaning to fit a narrative. This is what happens when pieces of shyt like Flex tell you what Hip-Hop is! Fcuk his payola ass!

Definitely no lines were worth repeating. Freestyles are also about showing who you are and to give an insight on you and your perspective on things.

Just not always about bars and sick lines.

Yes. And he is giving us insight into being whack loop

And freestyles are ALWAYS about bars and slick lines. Maybe SONGS aren't , but freestyles? Absolutely. This is why many of the mumble rapper "Lil's" should not and DO NOT do this. We already knew he was whack and this isn't his forte. Ya don't give a rapper credit for just showing up. If he sucks at this, I just call it what it is. Has no bearing on if he canale a hit song. Whack rappers do that all the time.

I'll let you argue with Kane about that.

I don’t like Flex either but you can’t blame him.

Back to this “Freestyling”thing....

In the early and mid 90’s I heard Biggie, Nas and Jay z all rap the same verses on different radio stations two days about from each other when they visited Cali.

I actually heard Mobb Deep “Freestyle” verses on the radio that were on their album before the album came out.

“Freestyling” off the top of the head is a lost art.

And think about it. If a rapper - someone who actually carries that title shows up somewhere and he.. doesn't have RAPS written-- and hes just gonna improvise .... How much does he care about his audience that he's just gonna make up some shit. Negro , go sit down somewhere and THINK about what you wanna say so when you say it , you MEAN it.
