Lil Wayne Tha carter 6 coming out 06-06-25

i didn't know this garbage juice was coming out till i heard that song he had with bono during the nba finals. just horrible and i feel like he dropped this album just for that purpose. hearing him rapping fucked up my viewing experience
:frozen:

Never listened to Wayne the same way I never listened to Drake, it makes sense that he helped bring him out. My thoughts about Wayne's rap skills were confirmed when I noticed some people around and in my family that swore he was the greatest. These people never really listened to real hip hop or lyrics but thought he was a lyrical miracle. This nigga just says whatever and they think it's clever. They so upset and hurt by this new garbage from him but it sounds like he's always rapped to me, I mean exactly the same.
I remember being in high school, specifically, chemistry class, when someone requested a best of Lil Wayne mix. He paid me $15 for all the newest Wayne tracks I could find. I took the money, and that soured me on selling CDs to anyone ever again. Here’s a link to mIRC and a CD replicator. You learn to make your shitty CDs.

Did you like it or nah?

I've heard more people not liking that album.

It is tough.

Its Wayne. He sounds good like the old usual Wayne same content flow and punches and even some of the same beats from previous projects.

It was GOOD to hear him.

But the project OVERALL was poorly sequenced, mastered and executive produced.

Too Many songs. To many bad songs. Too many experimental songs.

which KILLED the VERY dope records that got lost in the mess.

If this was 6 or 10 tracks?

Woo boy it would have legit been an album of the year contender.

As is? I understand the disappoint from fans of all levels.

It is NOT horrible. But it was not something I would go back to.

But after all thr Super Bowl sh*t Wayne started?

He can't release a project like this.

Yeah, its more of a mixtape than album and it's crazy he took all this time to make the album without taking the time to make sure the quality was top notch.

I also would like to add he had way to many artist as features on his album.

I guess he wanted to make the album for all genres of listeners.

So, I can see why people have mixed feelings about the album.

I think that superbowl snub really messed with his mental because if he was picked for the superbowl, maybe the album would've been better than this one but we would never know.

So, I'm wondering if he can rebound with another carter album but to put out a better product after hearing mixed reviews about his carter 6.

^^^^ you dropping a lot of truth.

I hear a lot of people saying it's a mistake. I kinda get that but I don't agree. This sh*t wouldn't have been worthy of dedication or drought or no ceilings title.

Maybe a Playlist?

To me it's just bad records.

To me the features aren't too many they just aren't good.

And I keep hearing from trusted sources Wayne has no one to blame for the Super Bowl snub but himself. And Wayne KNOWS THAT.

Wayne could STILL fix this with a proper deluxe edition.

He needs a banned from NO remix with cam, noreiga, fat Joe, lox, nature.

A drake feature maybe even do the banned from NO with a young money reunion.

Another Manny Fresh track

Take off half the original songs.

Make the songs shorter.

Have Mannie or Mack Maine or Bigxtheplug executive produce the project

That's the best I got.

I do think he was trying to appease this generation with adding rappers that most people don't know about nor listen to since not a lot of those rappers on those features are good.

I also understand this isn't the same wayne we're used to listening to back when he had tha carter 3, because he was trying to move on to rock music with the guitar shit at the time.

Everyone said that things sound similar with manny fresh being on there doing the beats. Some people just didn't like the selection of beats on his album.

I do believe he will make the necessary adjustments after hearing the public mixed reviews because everyone was excited for this album but felt something was lacking of how it was produced.

But overall, wayne still got talent with making music along with wordplay coming a long way.

That's just how I view it.

Well said

The reason I have less confidence?

The way Wayne been moving the last few years? Politics? Black Issues? Super Bowl? Kendrick Drake beef?

Wayne seems to be insulated in his own world not listening to others.

But I hope for the best?

Yeah, that's all we can do is wish him well.

Wayne has been everywhere lately along with some beefs which can take a mental toll.

Usually I would be harsh and critical on artist but I believe wayne is exception to that rule since he's put out classic albums before.

Maybe it's a minor setback for a major comeback.

Either way, wayne is a hip hop legend.

Carter 2 is good due to T MIX production. 1 is aight. But after those nah. His mixtapes are better imo

I get that.

It was ALL the albums part you said that was wrong.

And I also think we need to be honest and factor in the part about Kendrick and the Super Bowl putting Wayne under a super microscope.

All his own fault to be fair

(Much like Drake recent predicament)

He'll always have loyal supporters and fans no matter what..

As we have seen?

That's RARE AS F**K in hip hop

But I like this wave of legacy acts LL, Wu Tang, Slick Rick... we need to celebrate our legends still active.

Not give them a pass but some grace

They EARNED that at minimum

I forgot Redman and the Clipse

I think Wayne gave so much to hip hop starting at a young age that it's only right people stick with him though it all. Because not a lot of artist can say that their fans being loyal to them.

So, while we can say some things we don't like, we shouldn't talk like he's trash with his body of work as an artist.

He's earned that right..

Ignore these troll ass clout chasing internet click whores bro.

It ain't real.

The album is bad okay... but the bullsh*t social media that Wayne is trash always been trash blah blah is blasphemy.

And I ain't t even a Wayne fan like that.

But unfortunately he brought all this on himself to a large part.

Post Kendrick? After the Black Lives matter? Calling this the Carter 6?

They were WAITING for Wayne.

He needed to have chilled and REALLY WORK this project. There was a much deserved but miss timed arrogance attached to this project.

It's King Kendrick right now.

You better come correct or not all.

I believe he should've focused on himself and not let media get the best of him.

Ya fans want you at your best, but he sorta let them down with tha Carter 6 because people know he's a good artist that puts out good music.

He's gotten some bad publicity lately which should blow over.

That's why people gonna look at that Kendrick album and say "well this is why we choose him to perform at the Superbowl".

Kendrick is riding high right now, nobody is touching him no time soon.

Ya'll want what ya'll can't have and that's the old wayne but the old wayne was on drugs and the wayne today is said to be sober and if you really knew him you might not like the sober wayne as much as the drug addicted wayne.

He says he's vegan,he holds no more cups ,he might of kicked that coke/herion habit and Baby, yes he was addicted to following the lead of Baby who was a father figure to him but on paper he found out it was business first everything else second and on some reason shit he outgrew cashmoney,New Orleans and the rest of the shit that comes along with that.

Look at the rest of them dudes,it's 2025 and their still looking, talking and acting like it's 2001,even Baby that number 1# stunna shit has ran its course and you should be telling dudes to save their coins and start a business.
