Life Lessons From Older Americans Who Still Work To Pay The Bills

They worked hard or whatever but bad spending habits is why 75% of them are in the situation their in today.

When is enough, enough?new cars, too much house, vacations, relocating and just lifestyle.

I see older people today maybe driving an older model car of some sort and I understand,I get it,I get it more today than I did when I was younger.

It's astonishing that even today, people spend every dollar they earn without concern for the future. I know that around 70% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck... My dad didn’t teach me much, except the importance of going to work every day and paying my bills. I purchased my first house at the age of 25 and fully paid it off by the time I reached 40. During that time, I was also saving my money. I was fortunate that my employer offered a pension plan and a 401k, as many companies no longer provide pensions... I retired early because, 1. my financial adviser indicated that I was in a good position, and 2. Furthermore, I really didn't enjoy working with the people at my job.

The day Uber goes fully automated US economy is fucked, so many people rely on it for extra income.

We could say fuck you old people. Or we could be a society that takes care of it's old people. How do we take care of our old people? Universal healthcare and universal basic income for old people. Viola senior poverty eliminated.
