GOP candidate for governor proposes new abortion 'punishment' after claiming life begins 'before conception'

Mark Sherwood, a Republican candidate for governor in Oklahoma, asserted that he is against all exceptions for abortion because he believes life begins "before" conception.

"No life, even conceived in the most heinous or even less-than-ideal circumstances is a mistake," Sherwood told Real America's Voice host David Brody after revealing that his mother was likely a victim of rape. "As I sit here and talk to you, I can tell you unequivocally, even the people who are pro-choice are not mistakes. Everybody has a purpose."

"So I believe life begins in God before it begins at conception," he said, noting that his "plan is to push the legislators on both chambers as per their Republican GOP stance in Oklahoma to present this bill to the houses with the people behind it."

Sherwood insisted that he "will sign that bill because it's the right thing to do and we'll make it the law immediately to abolish abortion, no exceptions."

It’s all about perspective and I see no problem with what he said, because I’ve got life in my pants!

Imo these crazy opinions reinforce the pro-choice position. If this is your religious belief then fine you practice it. Leave me to practice my belief that if I get a women pregnant and we want an abortion then that's ok too.
So if a white man believes in slavery, he should be able to have them?
Did you even think before you opened your cum dumpster?

No dude you completely missed the point. People want to pass a law based on a religious belief him believing life begins in god before conception is very clearly a religious belief and a personal choice. Wanting to enslave another person isn't a religous belief. That's infringing on someone else's freedom. Being pro-choice allows me to practice my belief and at the same time allows him to practice his.

That's not the way that laws work. Besides, there are some Southern Baptists that think Blacks should be in chains. They really believe in the Curse of Canaan. The religious angle was what I was going for, too.

It's literally the way the law works. Freedom of religion exist in this country but it has limits. Not taking away another individuals personal freedom is supposed to be one of those limits when practicing freedom of religion. That is why I believe when you being religion into an abortion debate you are actually reinforcing that pro-choice is the correct position.

Just to be clear, I don't think life begins before conception. But I do believe life begins at conception.

Religious norms were the first laws in human society, so they are going to extend from there. Morality isn't just a concept it's a continuous action.

No they weren't.

No they weren't.
OK, making a statement without proof is isn't proof in and of itself. You have to be able to reason and in order to do that you need know what you are talking about.

I'm observing a pattern. You think that because you say something, it's magically true.

No religious norms weren't the first laws in human society. You can look up the oldest known laws Code of Ur-Nammu. That has nothing to do with religion. Also the code of hammurabi was very important they once again have nothing to do with religion. If anything it's the other way around.

How about observing the Sabbath? Adam and Eve did that. Giving a portion to God?
The rebellion in Babylon. Plenty of older laws that came from religious observances.

Tell them bitches to do the same thing they tell us when it comes to child support: "You should have strapped up."

You really don't think that they won't go after birth control next?

This is straight up replacement theory. Not only do they see it as a way to boost their numbers, they also see it as a way to slow down immigration, if not stop it all together. They want foreigners to think twice about coming here and the ones here to leave.

They think the majority of foreigners here are doing low-skilled slave wage jobs, and if there's more people born here forced to live in poverty then they'll be the one that will take those jobs, not foreigners. That also is ultimately why they hate Democrats because they see every Democrat as someone who will eventually drive them out of power. It's been around for decades, it just became mainstream when Obama became president.

That's a stupid conspiracy theory.

Seems to me that stopping abortion, in which black women disproportionately take part of, negates the very 'replacement' of which you speak.

Yeah, common sense would say that, along with the fact that even if immigration stopped right now it still wouldn't stop them from becoming the minority by 2050. But they still think they can manipulate the laws and social tones to stay in power, which is what they really care about. They played the long game with abortion, why wouldn't they do the same thing here? With the people they have on the bench now, they can ride out the next 30-40 years easily and maintain power.
