Truth has no color. Stop fighting your racial ghosts.
As I pointed out above, Baby Boomers (hereafter "BB's"), refers to ANYONE born in this country between 1945 and 1964. If YOU were referring to whites only when you mention BB's, you should have said so. My references to the term includes EVERYONE born during the inclusive period.
Do I have to be white to be right ???
Only whites came up with the term baby boomers which is why I only apply it to whites. They didn't ask for anyone else's input.
I've defined what I understand the term to mean, nevertheless, what I am trying to do is make sense of the truth. But for your information, I will defend the truth no matter who speaks it; because to do otherwise simply means I'd be fooling myself -- which I am not apt to do.
There may be at times something a white person says that I don't particularly like and it might cause me to scoff; even so, inside, I must always acknowledge the truth.
Question: Does your questioning of my ethnicity arise because I disagree with you ??? If so, what does that make any of us, when we don't share your view ???
I wasn't asking your background specifically. It was a rhetorical question, to show how it is possible to have a vested interest in defending a particular group while appearing to be objective.
The REASON to do it is for you to try to get down to the real problem. sabe? I'm not dictating a particular way; I'm not advocating ANY way. I was simply trying to get you to focus deeper -- instead of on some general group.
I have the pieces/details to the real problem. It is the guiding principle I have been describing here.
Sir, I think people who disagree with me, probably have a good points -- so long as their disagreement has some kind of factual underpinning -- and not just gross generalizations. Perhaps, if I sound like the group you're discussing and you're not following my logic, maybe the problem is simply that you don't understand, what it is that you don't understand ???
Think about it.

Its both. You're talking about a specific group; but the group itself is very broad and not necessarily comprised of people otherwise similarly situated or who share similar ideas, view points, etc. What is the homogeneity of the group ??? What are the commonalities that hold throughout the group ??? People who happen to be born between the requisite years are as diverse as the universe. You're indictment is way overbroad.
It's meant to be broad.
It is a foundation on which to understand/explain why baby boomers do what they do.
This provides a basis for understanding the dynamics of American life today, how we got here, and where we are going.
On the contrary. You've simply concluded that everyone born between 1945 & 1964 are the same -- and that can not be farther from the truth.
I like Boomers ! ! ! - though we probably have different definitions of the term. But for your information, I don't dislike white people, merely because they are. Perhaps, thats one of our difficulties in this little discussion. I want to be able to identify the 6 W's: who, what, when, why, where and <s>w</s>how. I deal with directly with problem solving and I know and have a great appreciation of knowing that if is difficult to solve a problem if you don't understand it.
Well, there we go. No argument can be made to dissuade you from your personal opinion. This is why I believe you are unwilling to see the truth or the possibility of any explanation implicating the very nature of baby boomers.
You've made up your mind.
So, I think its unproductive to go about blaming white people in general for shit. I want to know who did what when, why and how. I can devise a plan to counter that; but not some mythical "they did it" bull. Are you following me here ??? Do you see why I'm not fond of your broad generalizations ??? Do you see why I ask you to focus and identity the demons ???
Holla.

Who? Clinton.
What? US President
Where? Washington DC
When? 1993
Why? Globalization and destruction of American industry passed NAFTA.
1994 Clinton - Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act. Passage of the 3 Strikes Law
1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (Welfare Reform Act)
1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (the birth of the superbanks)
2000 Commodity Futures Modernization Act (the birth of the credit default swap/CDO)
I could go on all day breaking down how baby boomers broke down this country, all for their selfish, short-sighted gain.
Could you please, please provide a citation to the source of the conclusions above ??? Please.

Of course, no evidence, documentation, argument, source, nor proof will be sufficient.
I will continue to develop my ideas in preparation for what I see as an inevitable collapse of the baby boomer power structure and you will continue supporting the existing agenda.
To me, it's clear where we both stand on this issue.
