Made me a drink from red dust found on mars
water from neptune
heated on the sun
added star dust for sugar...coughed and made a nebula.

She smiled and jumped for joy called it our baby boy.

Told me that she'd marry me.

well i guess it's my turn...lol...ok here goes:



here i sit, typing a verse about lacking motivation
lacking motivation to change situations

everyone says, when the times get tough, the tough get tougher
well I'm tired cuz when the times get tough it really gets rougher

I've been pressing on damn near my whole life
obstacle after obstacle, hurdle after hurdle, tryna make things right
tryna make things right so i just might...

be able to break the heredity of low self-esteem and the pedestal of material worth
to be able to instill knowledge of self, love, happiness, strength and the pursuit of true joy in the one's i birth

to lead by example and provide a way for those who feel there is no way
give children from my community a place where it is safe to hang out and play

teach the parents the importance of being active in their children's lives
show the community that they there are more ways to solve a dispute than with guns and knives

have community leaders come together to actually provide their people with unconditional support
have services available to help those who want to be helped so being a helpless victim will be the last resort

help my people have basic health care, educational classes, after and before care
I've been blessed by those with helping hands so why would i not share

that whole crabs in a barrel logic doesn't apply to me
if i just sat back and did nothing, i would be just another chic with a social work degree

after typing up all of this, i see there is much work to be done
and i don't have time to lack motivation
my new motivation is the possibility of a better future for my community and future generations
what an exhilarating sensation

the thought of that brings

I AM NOW MOTIVATED!
