Lebron says he was robbed of Defensive Player of the Year award

i understand your position and I think it makes sense. One problem though. Lebron didn't speak against Gasol's accomplishments. LMAO. You dick beating mofos just refuse to read around here. Y'all are like the fuckin media. You wanna make a story out of no story.

How can you pick Noah when he is able to only guard one spot on the court, and a liability everywhere else..
The fuck Are u talking about? Noah was Never a Liability everywhere else on the Court, Faggot....

Proof u Dont Watch All NBA Basketball...

Dude Consistently contained his Man, AND when switched off a screen, he consistently forced the person he was defending into a shoot or forced them to pick up their dribble, whatever position he got switched on.

all while NEVER taking plays off...

Lebron This Year would take Several plays Off on the defensive end in games....and at the 4 (the position he played this season) he wasnt the Best at Guarding other 4's... jsut because he could guard them, doesnt mean he was the best at it.

I could see an argument for him last year, but this year he has taken a step back defensively....

and people need to Stop using Lebrons defense against Derrick Rose from 2 years ago to make an Argument for him today.

He's regressed in his defensive approach....

^^^^^^ plenty of players take plays off but to say Brin regressed in his defensive approach is utter bullshit

You expect in a 82 game season a player to have the same intensity every game?

I just hope he doesnt become one of those National TV defenders like Kobe... Only playing defense when the game in on National television when People are watching...

I got League Pass and LP broadband. I watch ALL the games... I see everything.

^^^^ who were the 4s that exploited Bron? So I can go back to the take and stats

And I have league Pass too I watch them games if anything Miami switches off a lot and Bron usually funnels the offensive player into the teeth of the defensive

I read the article and read the comments.

False outrage really is amusing

If he didnt win it last year he shouldnt win it this year

I didnt expect him to win it this year. Being in 2nd the last 3-4 years is an accomplishment in itself. He probably wont win one until his 'offense' falls off and he's no longer the MVP. Then it'll be OK to recognize his defense as the best. The irony is, he will more than likely make 1st team all defense and Gasol will probably be 2nd team. Watch!

if that happened would be the 2nd time the DPOY didnt make the defensive first team.

It's funny how niggas will throw in Jordan's DPOY awards when talking about his greatness, but when Lebron gets robbed of adding that to his resume...he's whiny or needs to worry about winning more titles when asked about his feelings getting robbed. :smh:

Its impossible to recall All of the games because there was just so many games....

I can recall Wade and Chalmers to a lesser extent getting the responsibility for guard most of the best Perimeter players on the Heat this year....

But for starters, I just look through the 1st month of the season Alone and leave notes to the ones I specifically remember....

Brandon Bass (6 for 11 15 points)
OCT 30TH
*one of the games where KG was abusing LBJ when he switched on him.. going 4 for 6 while being defended by LBJ

Knicks NOV 2ND
*LBJ didnt guard anyone specifically in this game but he sagged off a lot on his assignments allowing wide open threes from Novak, JR Smith and Kidd..allowing 40 points from the w/ 10 3's... and the Knicks beat them by 20, 104-84

Kenneth Faried (11 for 15 22points 12 rebounds) NOV 3TH

Zach Randolph (8 for 16 18 points 12 rebounds) NOV 11TH
*I remember this game specifically because I remember them blowing out the Heat in this game and Zach Abusing Lebron in the paint

Chandler Parsons (8-17 25points) NOV12TH
*a Career high for Parsons and he also had a nice little throw down on LBJ in this game... I remember this game, this one the game when Lin throw up an wide open Airball three to win it.

Blake Griffin (8 for 16 20 points 14 rebounds 6 assists) NOV14TH

James Anderson (2 for 2 9 points) NOV 29TH
Boris Diaw (5 for 7 12 points 6 rebounds) NOV29TH
*LBJ playing Anderson and sagging off of him.. allowed him to take and make 2 wide open shots.. Also allowing losing track of Diaw multiple times getting him open shots.. this game was the game were Popovich sent Duncan, Parker and Ginobili home and they still almost Won.

Keep in mind, Most of the games All year long, Lebron usually sagged off of the Weakest Offensive player on most of the these teams when he wasnt guard the 4.. He didnt lock anyone down this year specifically and he took much more plays off than Last year...

He let a lot of scrubs do good while they was being guarded by him earlier in the season also...

I'll break down some more when I get the time... Or when I feel like it...

but bottom line, dude regressed this year.... He was pulling Kobe's this year a lot.

Lebron would have probably won if he had one of those years where he had all those Sportscenter blocks

It's funny how niggas will throw in Jordan's DPOY awards when talking about his greatness, but when Lebron gets robbed of adding that to his resume...he's whiny or needs to worry about winning more titles when asked about his feelings getting robbed. :smh:

Jordan only won one DPOY

He routinely lost to David Robinson, Hakeem and Mutombo

Because it's become a center award, because it seems like they mainly count rebounds and blocks...steals aren't counted as highly because the person who routinely leads the league in steals might be a poor defensive player(Chuck)

Jordan, Metta and GP are the only non 4/5 to win since 87

It seems like when the award was first started it was about overall defense, because Alvin Robertson, Michael Cooper, Jordan and Sidney Moncrief won. Then it became a big man award.

So all those years with Phil, Jordan and Scottie...Mike didn't win shit.

On March 3, 2013, the Heat played the Knicks in a nationally televised Sunday afternoon game. Carmelo Anthony torches the Heat in the 1st half when being checked by Shane Battier and Knicks lead by 14 at halftime (45-59). LeBron switches onto him in the 2nd half, and holds him to 3-11 shooting for 8 2nd half points (he had 32 for the game). The Heat rally back from down 11 at the start of the 4th to win. This is but one example of LeBron's defensive prowess (against the scoring champ no less) this season.

Bottom line, whether it was Early in the season or Late..

He Lacked the Same Effort on Defense this year then he did Last year, PERIOD...

and it was noticeable.... Most Lebron James Fans will tell u this same thing.. the Ones that dont front for the Internet "Lebron-haters".

He shouldve been doing this All season... He might have had a DPOY.

Like I said Earlier, he has the Ability to Do this better than Anybody... he just doesnt put forth the Effort has he did last season.

I honestly feel THIS year, being 2nd in Voting is Too high.. I would have had him no higher than 3rd. I feel the main reason he got 2nd is basically off of Reputation...

Sounds like a whiney bitch... :hmm:

He's regressed in his defensive approach....

Number one, Noah cannot guard the perimeter vs anyone with speed, they would blow right past him off the dribble for an easy lay up... I've seen it happen plenty times during switch ups where he was isolated..
Sure James never plays 100% game 7 mode but neither does anyone else..
I never said he was the best at guarding the 5 or 4 but he is as good as most Lastly why not be able to use Rose in this argument (he was the last MVP other than James for the longest, and it was a one on one match up at the end of the year for all the marbles, when was the last time you saw some shit like that..
That dosn't mean James stood big only against Rose, shit he has stopped plenty shooters, including Kobe after scoring 8 points in the early 4th, this year, only to blank him in the final 8 mins with the game on the line, after the switch. But other notables LeBron has played against Durant one on one with the game on the line, Howard, Gasol, basically the best of the best in the league and he has guarded them all over the court, as opposed to Noah, who usually defends a territory well..

Isolate Noah vs any of the great all time centers and he would get ate up. Lucky for him there are only but a few today worth a shit, and they have no problems with players like Noah, Gasol and Chandler..

Noah was the Best Defender This year...

He Defended the 4 and 5 By Far Better than Anybody and when Switched onto players he usually would make them force bad shots or pick up there Dribble more times than Not.

He didnt Take any plays off.....Like Lebron did Many times this year.

bottom line, u can argue w/ me until u are blue in the face but guess what? I aint hear to convince u, Im just stating a conclusion from what Ive seen all year.

dude was Robbed.

the only excuse for dude not to get the DPOY was because he was injured.

Dude literally Carried that depleted team off of his Great Defense....

but he did.

Man Lebron is the most versatile defender in the league. Nobody in the league does what he does. He guards more positions than all these clowns. He got exploited by a handful of 4 this season? Lmao! Dude it's an 82 game season. Everybody gets exploited but to act like Lebron was a liability man please... That's fuckin ridiculous. 4 is not his natural position but unlike gasol or others he can D up all 5 positions. How many 3s exploited gasol? None because he couldn't even think about that shit. Lebron has strangled mofos at all positions and I'm not talking about bums either. Who else in the league can literally shut down great players at all positions. Nobody.

Thus him Not playing the Best Defense in the League this year.

You just proved my point.

He's the most versatile Defender as I stated Many Times In This Thread Alone... you are not Telling me I dont know (This is WHY I just copy and Paste All the Damn Time...)

Also, being the Most versatile Defender
does NOT mean he is the BEST Defender in the League.. for MANY years, Kevin Garnett could guard ALL 5 Positions...and Unlike Lebron, he did NOT take plays off....
And even Still that did Not make KG the best Defender in the League ALL the time earlier in the 2000's neither....

Instead of Exceptng FACT, yall niggas wanna Argue points that have already been easily shot down)

Bottom Line is:

LBJ got exploited by a hand full of 4's this year and his defensive EFFORT regressed from Last years Approach.

LBJ didnt play w/ the same Intensity Defensively Like he did Last year.

LBJ for a large portion of the year played off of mediocre spot up players while a lot of times that "mediocre player" would have great nights because of LBJ leaving dudes open.

With That said, Im Not saying LBJ was NOT Great defensively... but we are judging him as a DPOY candidate so Im going to bring up his faults in terms of That...

He is Definitely an All NBA 1st Team Defense Player to me..

Didn't know the ability to occasionally guard multiple positions was a pre-req for DPOY.... Dude's actingly like LeBron had a system where he guarded all 5 positions regularly for 10 minutes per game each...

Still sounds like a whiney bitch to me in that interview... :smh:

Its not.. If thats the case, Kevin Garnett from 2000 to 2008 would be a 9 Time DPOY, because he was guarding all 5 Positions, Not to mention Guarding HIS position the best (or at least tied w/ TD in terms of defending opposing PF's)...and thats w/ KG NOT taking plays Off....

Noah is a center in the east, the same east that don't have one dominant offensive center (sorry Lopez you are mediocre at best), this allows Noah to pack the paint and go after blocking shots knowing he has a couple of other tall guys to back him up who does the same thing.. But ask him to gaurd the perimeter or get out the paint and shut down some one like Durant or LeBron, sorry it aint going to happen.. Put Noah one on one vs the top scores and he will be owned, every single time.... Top scores see LeBron on them, they know that they have to go to their A game and pray..

While I agree that Marc Gasol shouldn't have been defensive player of the year, his team had the statistics to back it up and unfortunately for Tony Allen, Gasol got the nod.

LeBron's defense this year has been spectacular and I think he should've won the DPOY last year when he played better defense.

That being said, Paul George was the better defender between the two and I said before and will say again the that DPOY should've been Roy Hibbert or Paul George.

Watch!
