no exaggeration yall, i have 24 pairs of marburys in my closet right now. everything from the ball kicks, the cross trainers, running kicks, the boots & his air force 1's. rave reviews from me. i use em for what they were made for ie i run in the running kicks, lift weights & jog in the cross trainers, etc. couldnt be happier. and when they get dirty? just cop another pair. i also wear his athletic apparel to the gym which is cool because everything is ten bucks and i just sweat it out in the gym anyway (im not there to look pretty). im gonna do what i can to lend credibility to the quality of the kicks this summer on the ballcourts by embarrassing cats in much more expensive kicks as only hub can

I give major props to the Starbury line. The shoes look good and it makes no sense for sneakers to cost $100+ if they aren't performance based.

I can't rock them because I have gigantic feet, but if I could find a pair that fit I would definitely sport the line. I'm really impressed.

The thing that gets me is that when you buy a pair really expensive shoes, the shoe itself is probably worth less than $20 (being generous). Talking materials and production cost only. R&D is maybe another $10 (again very generous - what R&D when into Classics or AF1's in the last 15 years?). The rest is just straight up profit.

I'm not arguing for sneaker makers to not make a profit but damn. And don't even get me started on those BAPE, BBC, ICE CREAM over priced pieces of shit.

I think the real fucked up thing, the real injustice, is what people get paid to make Nikes or whatever she we're all wearing.

For example they are selling the Kobe Zoom 1's (Kobe's first shoes with Nike) for $35.00. The extra $20.00 is worth it as far is quality is concerned.

Again, these shoes are great just for casual use, but never use them on the basketball court. I understand where Lebron is comming from as far as QUALITY goes.

That has more to do with how the shoe fits your foot than anything. I just trashed a pair of AF1's for the exact same reasons you just mentioned. After wearing them one day, the shoes became deformed and uncomfortable. If you don't have the "average" size foot in terms of length and width, it's bound to happen with certain brands or styles. I don't have that issue with ALL styles of Nikes, but it's the AF1's that give me issues. Doesn't mean it's not a quality shoe. Just not for my feet.
