The Lakers needed to do 3 things to make Cousins a decent offer....
1 - Get rid of Randle
2 - Don't re-sign Brook Lopez.
3 - Stretch Luol Deng's contract, to free up more money.
They just accomplished the 1st.
And they haven't done the 2nd yet. 
If they do the 3rd soon... then expect to hear the Lakers make 'an offer' to Boogie.
It won't be a 'max' deal, so the decision will be on Demarcus to see if he wants to accept less money (and a shorter contract) to play with Lebron.
