HAIR ANIMATION TIP

I recently found out some good info about customizing hair. This is especially useful when dealing with hairstyle like braids, dreads and stylized anime hair.

First off, you can load in a hairstyle, export it as an obj and then reimport it to Daz. This gets rid of the morphs that come with the hair. Now here's the tedious part, but it could be worth it in the end. For instance if you have a hair full of braids, you can go through each strand and use the geometry editor tool to build new sections on each strand. Then, daz can automatically apply bones to each section. This gives you TOTAL CONTROL over the hair, how it falls onto the shoulders and back, with NO DISTORTIONS due to bad morphing. From there, you can apply the Spring Dynamics script to the strands and now the hair will bounce with movement and react WAY BETTER than d-force. D-force is cool for still renders, but it can fuck up and animation sometimes.
