Learning Daz 3d

Any adult themed unreal engines sites you can load daz 3d models into? I am looking for positions in an unreal engine that has them. Any help would be cool. I know the action ones exist but the adult one I came across once about 4 years ago and I can't remember the name to save my life because it did not pique my interest at the time.

Hey what's the best way to control where you bring a character into a scene? If working on a large environment I found that creating a camera where I want the figure to appear and then creating a group with it will bring the characters in close to the camera. Is there a better way to do this?

I got this from Daz:

"Press and hold [Alt] whilst dragging-n-dropping the icon for an asset in one of the asset views onto the viewport. The center of the target will be interpreted as the world origin for the loading of that asset."

Man I'm glad I came across this thread. Im just starting out creating 3D figures been doing it for about the last 6 months. I've always been into creating things ever since I got a pretty good gaming PC.

I really started out modding games particularly NBA 2k but now I want to dive into this genre lol..Especially since I've working from home with a lot of time on my hands. I've been using DazStudio to create my characters but I also see other 3D modeling tools out there.

I see that there isn't that much XXX ebony 3D art out there. Not sure why. So Im taking this much as a hobby not something that Im looking to make money off of. But I am looking at creating a website to showcase some of my work.

Anyway below is just some of the stuff I've done so far (got a lot more renders) but like I said Im NEW lol. So I still got a lot to improve on. But creating art is something that is growing on me. Much respect to you guys that been in the game. Yall got some good work out there.

PS: And how do yall post your images on here? This my first time posting images just seeing what do you all use. I dont want to have it click to another page.

Dope!

I use tumblr as far as pics. It's easy to start a blog and then copy the url from the pics and post them here.

Daz3d has pretty much everything you need, but there are a lotta workarounds and jerry-rigging you can do to get even better high-quality results, you just gotta learn all the cheat codes. I keep saying I'm gonna learn Blender one day, like go deep into it, but I really stay hooked on Daz because for all intents and purposes, it meets all my needs.

I'm gearing up to do a lot more stuff in Daz soon, but I'm getting some other projects I have going out of the way first. After that I'll be posting a lot more.

DJMorpheus keeps this thread going with the amazing stuff he's creating. So welcome to the club!

Preciate it fam! Yea I like Daz because of the marketplace and just ease of use for me.

But I use blender to mod my NBA 2k characters but just haven't tried it yet for my xxx content. I know people say blender is best for animation but I havent got that advanced yet lol

One tip about Daz, is that it actually has an IK system, but it only works with Genesis 2 characters. The animation is way easier using G2 than later models. So you can do animations with G2 and then convert them to work on G3/G8 characters.

Have any of you used the products from Reallusion? Specifically the Character Creator?

Seems like a decent product. I will give it a test run. Just from watching the demo, looks like you can import clothing from Daz to there.... If I can import a character and edit in there, this may be a good move. But just wanted to see if any of you have tested it out.

I haven't used anything outside of Daz since I started with it. I downloaded Character Creator and ain't unzipped it yet. Daz keepin me busy for now.

Preciate it man! Yea I've heard of Deviant Art. Ill start posting there as well.

Okay bet. Yea Daz keeps me busy. Especially with me being a novice, I'm very familiar with Daz right now. So trying to learn another system right now may not be ideal. I just like their face converter seems like its pretty good.

And their animation creation seems pretty dope and easy. But....I havent even touched on animation yet lol

Not really, I don't really have a need for it right now. To be honest I've yet to see the true advantage of using the Reallusion stuff. But it all depends on what you want to do. I just have no need for it yet because Daz suits my needs.

After watching a few vids on iclone, I dunno....I can see myself using it in the future, but I would need 100% everything that I have in Daz now. I need to know more about how their toon shader works and if their sketching feature is as sophisticated as LineRender3000....hell, even the built-in sketching feature of Daz is dope. And I need to know that importing geo-shells from Daz to iclone works 100% accurately.

Character Creator can be much easier than "creating" characters in Daz, it's way more streamlined and to the point. With Daz, if you want a lot of morphing options, it's gonna take a lot of loading time just to get started. The more characters and morphs you use in Daz, the longer it takes for the program to load, which sucks imo, but it is what it is.

Also, for animation, iclone is a way better otb solution compared to Daz. The reason I don't need it so much is because my focus is traditional 2d animation, which imo is less complex than photorealistic 3d animation that's meant to mimic reality. The animation features such as presets and different types of animations in iclone are much better organized and ready-to-go, compared to daz that starts as a blank slate.

I can setup Daz to be as easy to use as iclone, but it would take a lot of work, a file organizing nightmare.

I use a Mac, and iclone is simply better suited for a pc rather than mac/bootcamp. So I would need to purchase a new computer.

And the tools I've collected for Daz over the years though, I'm not sure iclone has that all covered. I have som crazy plugins for daz that are invaluable to my process.

So for now I'll stick with Daz. I have a lot of research to do on iclone before I totally switch. If I were doing a video game or doing a movie with a lot of cgi though, I would use iclone over daz in a heartbeat.

Another thing, it's all about the right tools.

Once I saw that the creators of Guilty Gear XRD used SoftImage, an outdated no longer in development piece of software, it dawned on me that it's not about having the latest and greatest, but having the right tools that do the jobs that need to be done.

This IClone looks really good. But like you said, I've invested so much (time/money) in Daz that it would be hard to transition over or use both....

Now if I can transfer EVERYTHING from Daz to IClone then that could be a move. But I did read on the Daz discussion board that you can transfer materials to IClone but not back to Daz to render. I could be wrong though.

I like making Photoreal characters so this IClone is intriguing. Also, the animation aspect looks cleaner than Daz but I havent tried animation on Daz3d.

I wish there was a program that let's you take any video and have your charter mimic those animations in the videos. Would definitely cut down on workflow once I start doing animation work.
