Hidden Genius Project Summer Development Program

Over the course of 9-weeks, students will:

Develop the problem solving and creative thinking skills needed to design, develop, and implement a mobile application
Imagine, design, and build their own mobile application
Work with other high school students to execute a group project
Learn the basics of creating cool mobile apps that other people actually want to use
Learn a lot about general computer programming and design (don’t worry, the teachers are awesome and engaging!)
Research and present technology-related topics to their peers
Be matched one-on-one with mentors, young black professionals with technology work experience, who will provide them with additional support and guidance
Interact with speakers from different parts of the tech industry on a bi-weekly basis




THE STUDENTS
Ages: 15 - 19 (High School Juniors, Seniors, recent Grads)
Applications Due by June 15, 2012


This was a big success this year, the 1st year.

Stay tuned for next year.

My daughter will love this. :D

She has a book report due at the end of the month, and she chose to create a blog or website for it :D

She is in 3rd grade and heading in the right direction.

This goes back to the thread about PCs in the home. We have several. She sees them everyday. We work in the IT industry, and she is just gravitating to what is around her. :yes:

A kids upbringing and environment matters a lot!!!! :yes:
