Delaware Sen. Tom Carper, a longtime ally of President Biden, announced his support for eliminating the filibuster in order to pass voting rights legislation after Republicans again blocked it.

Democrats are not going to get rid of the flipbuster especially how they got crushed in Virginia.

They need Manchin and there is no way he will get rid of it when democrats can’t even win Virginia. Manchin knows if he does it’s over for him in West Virginia.

Plus when republicans gain back power in 2022 which it looks like they will. With the flipbuster gone. The republicans can pass all types of crazy laws.

I doubt it. Trump was begging McConnell to get rid of it in 2017. But McConnell said NO.

I give him some credit McConnell has been in politics for over 40 years. He knows Political Partys Gains and Lose Power all the time. Image if he took trump advice? Democrats would be emboldened to pass all times of shit with a simple majority.

Democrats should caution on the flipbuster because you won’t always be in power forever.

They blow up the flipbuster for judges because they were confident Hilary Clinton would win? Guess what trump won and Now we have a solid conservative Supreme Court with over 300 circuit court judges.

After the Virginia results it would be pointless to destroy the filibuster. Because the GOP will most likely win the midterms. ( House and Senate ) in 2022. So destroying it will allow the GOP to pass all kinds of crazy laws with a simple majority. I’m talking abortion ban in 50 states. Stripping Obamacare, limiting and getting rid of entitlement, etc…

They had the Presidency and congress with Trump and did none of those things. All abortion bans have been at the state level. No politician will get rid of entitlements. You sound like a happy Trumper homie. None of this make sense.

Three open seats are on the list are all currently held by Republicans who are retiring. Are you using Trump logic or have you actually looked at the numbers for your prediction?
