LAPD Officer Shot in the Face in South Los Angeles

A*Los Angeles police officer was shot in the face in South Los Angeles on Tuesday night, the third officer fired upon and wounded within 15 hours.

The shooting occurred at 7:29 p.m. in the 2200 block of East 117th Street, according to an LAPD*spokesperson.

It was unclear whether the shooting was related to the "ambush" shooting of two LAPD detectives earlier in the day that prompted a manhunt that had yet to yield any suspects. Those detectives suffered non-life threatening injuries.

sheit, i don't celebrate sheit like this. for all anyone knows, the cop that got shot could've been a righteous brother. hope dude pulls through.

but on the flip side, cops really have no one to blame cause the dept refuses to seriously hold bad/disrespectful to the community cops to a standard of professionalism. and good cops generally keep their mouths closed when they KNOW another officer is on some bullsheit. so the community begins to despise you. and no matter how many postures cops make and try to project that 'tough' image, the simple fact is that there are waaaaay more tough dudes out in la that ain't afraid of cops. thousands of 'um in different la gangs. they're loosely organized and have more firepower than you do. if dudes ever decide to be on some 'cyrus was right' sheit from the warriors movie, it'll take the army to match against these dudes. not the cops. not the weekend warrior national guard. the fukin army
