With proper wet tyres, and wet setups in addition to being some of the best drivers in the world... But that idiot in a Lambo knows something they dont.

Yup. Not to mention a purpose built track. These assholes in the wet and snow are too fucking dangerous. Even tho I have AWD, I'm taking it slow, but I'm scared these idiots will lose it and collect me.

And who ever thinks traction control works in the wet doesn't know anything about cars. Well, maybe how to wreck 'em, because traction control is WORSE in the wet.

My man!!! I've been telling people for year turn that shit off in the rain and especially in the snow. You see exactly how much grip you don't have when there's water on the road. People are used to the electronic nanny keeping them safe, that they don't understand how little grip there really is, finding that limit, and then adjusting your driving based on that limit.

Yes, sir. Folks don't seem to understand that when the TCS engages the balance of the car is changed. In slippery conditions that's all you need to lose it. If you have a bespoke TCS costing hundreds of thousands of dollars like F-1 cars it's a different story and they still don't push. I can't tell you how many times some jackass in an SUV was riding my ass in the snow and when they finally got past I saw them a few miles later in a ditch.

After that red truck, no one was in that lane which caused that layer of water to just linger there. Thats why when its raining, I ALWAYS drive in a busy lane so the people in front of me are chopping the water out the lane for me. What happened to ol' boy is the exact thing that happened to the dude who hydroplaned and hit me on the freeway. Totaled out my camaro. Scary ass day but Camaros are safe as hell so I walked away without a scratch although I was in the fast lane and spun across the whole freeway until I collided with the curb knocking off all 4 of my tires and rims.

The only thing traction control does is prevent wheelspin. Tires are the single most important factor in inclement weather driving.

Fuck dat, the Aston only comes out when there is NO chance of rain. If you get caught in the rain, then you find the right lane and CREEP it home.

Lambo driver had no respect for that car.

And most lack any training when it comes to driving near the limit and panic the second the car breaks loose.

You know whats really scary??? I work for a tire distributor, and the most popular tires... Are the cheapest. Next time you're in a parking lot, look at the tires on the avg car. Assuming they're all in decent shape and not bald as fuck. Now, the next time it rains, or snows these are the cars on the road with you...

I'd say it the drivers ability to "feel" what the tires are telling them. But yes, tires make a big difference. I think more people need take them seriously, research them, get the proper set for their vehicles and stop looking at just the price and how the tread looks.

Yep some jackass wrapped his truck around a telephone pole earlier this evening. They say if its snowing like hell stay several car lengths back.

Fools gone learn floating like its June outside in December in snow and ice prone states.

That is correct. It could be argued that tires are the most important part period since they're the only thing that touches the road. But all things being equal, when that TCS engages on wet or snow if the driver can't control the balance shift, it's an off.

Well....that's probably about $80k in parts on the highway.....I could....but prefer not....to drive my vette I the rain !!!!:hmm:

You're right; you never know what condition other car's tires are in. Nor can you be sure the driver can drive. Or is paying attention to what the fuck is going on.
