Laker's vs Thunder Series Thread

Thunder getting a lot of help from them refs  35 free throws not even 4th quarter yet. Is that a record????

Where the LA fans at Tonight!!!?!!!!!?!??

THEM NIGGAS WENT TO BED EARLY :lol:

Thunder is attacking the basket, LA shooting jumpers. Which method gets the most foul calls?

Don't worry, i'll wait.

If you want to to get to the FT Line, be more aggressive. That is how it is done in the NBA and LA knows this.

Go invest in a TiVo and see how many no calls the refs are making when LA has the ball. The Lakers have been aggressive. The Lakers are getting fouled. This game is not being called fairly. Every time they get within 15 points, the refs bail OKC out. This is not basketball.

Re: Thunder Series Thread

watch Q1 and answer the question for yourself.

edit: check the time stamp on the post i made where i asked MHC the question.

just asking.

coach jackson said he wanted to cut tobe's minutes.

the fakers all said they emphasized feeding the post in practice.

jalen rose and others have publicly questioned the number and kind of shots tobe took in G3.

sacramento, phoenix, and now oklahoma?

I did watch it and saw that he wasn't shooting, he was trying to feed the post and driving and kicking it to the open man. The man guarding him wasn't laying off him giving him shots, so i don't see the 4on 6 reality

By the way the free throw count is now: LA 20 - OKC 37. But I'm sure the officials will fix that. It's much too close.

since you claim to have watched Q1, how many wide open looks did he pass up?

how many forays into the paint did he make WITHOUT looking to the weak side pressure release FIRST?

I am the first one to kill the refs for the way they always give the Lakers all the close calls in LA. But to be fair and not a hypocrite, some of those ticky tack fouls on the three point shots by OAK city. :smh:
I wonder if Jackson brazen remark about that "they should play aggressive and leave it up to the refs" didn't rub the refs the wrong way. I may be wrong, but still putting the refs out there like that has the potential of blowing up in your face.

i'm sure it is. u see luke walton flipping out. he NEVER received a tech the entire season. he just got one for yelling at the refs about those offensive fouls he's been getting hit with

Thunder Series Thread

i guess i was wrong.

stans are coming with the "poor officiating" angle.

can any honest person actually watching the game say the officiating was lop-sided?

but wait, where's dude that said G3 was fixed and GUARANTEED a G4 win for the fakers?

Everytime he passed up a open look i saw it was either to the corner where there was another open man or into the post. The drives to the hole ended in passes to a open man when the defense came

At the start of the 4th qtr he was leading the team in assists and points, Lakers just not doing anything in any aspect of the game

I still can't figure out how someone like snowbe is regarded as a high IQ basketball player when he lets his immaturity continue to hamper the team's chance to be successful.

It would be the ultimate destruction to his legacy if they were to lose this series to the Thunder. I think it would also be enough to force Coach Jackson into retirement, which would end the lakers chances at being true contenders IMO.

Now, I want you to invest in a Tivo and go back and review the game so you can see how OKC is dominating LA in every statistical category. Pull out your stats and you shall see that FT's is not even half of the Lakers problems tonight. Refs don't influence rebounding, turnovers, fastbreak defense, among others.

This may not seem like basketball but how many times have the Lakers enjoyed getting all the calls while it seems that the other team is getting none. Plenty. Go back and review game 5 of the Western Conference Finals last year and you tell me if that's basketball. It happens to everybody and I hate it. Fuck a ref.

Didn't see this one coming. Oh well, I guess being the worst road team in the playoffs speak volumes.

Re: Thunder Series Thread

The drives to the hole ended in passes to a open man when the defense came

correct. and if you review the film, you will see that he was looking SOLELY for the outlet and never for his shot.

anyone on BGOL who has EVER played competitive organized basketball knows what that means.

this game is starting to look like the Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals.

That game was an all out ass whipping that LA had no chance of winning, which is strange being that LA has the best closer in NBA History.

This game was actually winnable.

If you can say the defense saw that and played accordingly then you would have a point but they didn't. Whenever he drove a man came open because the defense was thinking "he's shooting"

Whats just as alarming is how soon the Lakers threw in the white towel. This leads me to believe that the Lakers are tired!
Matter of fact the more they play the tireder they appear to be, which is a microcosm of the whole season. If so, they can be in real danger of bowing out of the first round.
Hey say what you want about LeBron, there is no way he rides the pine down by 20 in the fourth.
