1) depending on how far along, that is a long time to beef, or hold on to a potential beef

2) i may seriously hurt someone's mom, it aint worth it

Agreed. Unless its life and death, protecting you and yours from harm, there aint no excuse for that mess.

That was the reason for my response! What has happened to the beautiful black woman who was the cement that held together both the black family and the black community? Now its about extracting revenge?

Then to think of assaulting a pregnant chick or waiting until after the pregnancy is extreme. What circumstance could bring on this type of hatred? What has happened to that beautiful black woman.

Why are black women (men too) so quick to think a violent act is the correct response for retaliation on circumstances where things don't go our way? An act that could get you incarcerated or worse all for a moment of poor judgment. Is it ego or what?

Someone please help me understand.

its a combination of things: ego, lack of clear thinking, frustration and history

well even tho i don't ascribe to what i'm about to say, i can understand how some can....

violence is a major part of world history. it has been used to gain and maintain power, as protection, and to control. over time some people have gotten wind of other methods to accomplish the same goal while some have not. also, everyone does not have the luxury to utilize those non violent methods.

one of the main things we can control is our bodies and how we use them. brute force has been a defense mechanism of oppressed people for quite some time and i don't see that going away anytime soon. i wish people chose more carefully about WHEN it is necessary to take it to that level. but in reality for some that is THE only level to take it to as far as they are concerned.

Exactly. That is why I was asking the OP what the circumstances were in her situation... Nobody is going to threaten my life, pregnant or not.

I assumed most people here were decent people (even though you heathens are on a porn board on Sunday morning) and that it was a situation that was inevitable. Obviously if I can walk away from the situation I will let it go.

There's no question on violence being a part of world and sadly our history. I've dealt with it on scales I prefer not to address. But there seems to be a trend in women resorting to violence that I find disturbing.

As for this thread I would like to think some are just being e-thugs. Anyone can be a bad MF using a keyboard. But after seeing some of the responses I'm not sure that's the case. Phrases like "oh, not you didn't" may sound cute but where does it go from there?

I concur on force being a defense mechanism of oppressed but how oppressed can one be when the oppressor is carrying a child in her bosom? Not here to preach just astonished at some of the responses.

Nah! No one is saying let anyone hurt you. But the likelihood of some pregnant woman going Rambo on you is (or it should be) pretty slim. But the circumstances weren't presented yet almost everyone is ready to turn into Lara Croft.
 
I do hope that any of the women who has made comments here do refrain from hitting a woman who is pregnant if it ever comes to blows in regards.
